Won't return this week Tigers manager A.J. Hinch said Tuesday that Hill (rib) likely won't return from the 10-day injured list until next week at the earliest, Jason Beck of MLB.com reports. Impact Hinch suggested that the Tigers are targeting their two-game series in St. Louis on Aug. 24 and 25 for Hill's potential return to action, providing the outfielder continues to make good progress in his recovery from a left ribcage contusion. While both Akil Baddoo (concussion) and Hill have been sidelined for nearly a week following their outfield collision in an Aug. 10 game against the Orioles, Willi Castro and Victor Reyes have picked up more work in left and center field, respectively.
