Spencer Turnbull - Takes loss to Rays Turnbull (0-1) took the loss Saturday, allowing seven runs on eight hits and three walks over 2.1 innings against the Rays. He struck out three.

Impact This one was ugly right from the get-go as Turnbull started single, wild pitch, single, double, walk. The third inning got out of hand and Trey Wingenter replaced Turnbull with one out in the frame. Turnbull was at his best ever in 2021 before going down with an elbow injury which required Tommy John surgery. He will need to show some semblance of that form again before he can be trusted in fantasy lineups.

Impact Nevin is eligible for activation on April 8 and would seem to have a good shot to be ready at that time. He could see a lot of playing time for the Tigers at third base against lefties.

Impact It's the second time he's been traded, as Paulson also went from the Dodgers to the Rays back in December of 2020 as part of a three-team deal which sent Jose Alvarado to the Phillies. The 25-year-old hasn't played much the last two seasons due to an ACL tear.

Impact Meadows had half of Detroit's hits as Shane McClanahan mostly cruised through the lineup. The Tigers may struggle all season to generate offense, which could limit the fantasy upside of Meadows. Still, it's good to see the outfielder get off to a strong start, and he may be able to move up in the order in short order after hitting sixth on Thursday.

Impact Rodriguez pitched decently but he was outdueled by Shane McClanahan in a 4-0 defeat for the Tigers. This may be an issue all year for the lefty, as Detroit is expected to have a fairly weak offensive attack. Rodriguez still may post solid ratios and rack up strikeouts, though he could struggle to earn many wins. He's lined up to make his second start Wednesday against a tough Houston squad.
