Impact Springer sandwiched a pair of singles around a solo home run in the fifth inning during Sunday's winning effort. It was his second straight game with a long ball and his first game with three or more hits since Aug. 4. The 31-year-old has been skidding in September despite a couple of nice games over the weekend, as he's slashing .188/.274/.341 with three homers, five RBI, nine runs scored and 9:19 BB:K over 21 games this month. Springer has missed a good chunk of time this season due to various injuries and that could certainly play a role in his down year at the plate. He's on pace to have an average under .250 for the first time since his rookie season in 2014 and his .258 BABIP doesn't help his case either. For the year, he's slashing .242/.335/.516 with 19 homers, 40 RBI, 51 runs scored, three steals and 35:73 BB:K over 313 plate appearances.
