Jeremy Peña - Doubles twice in lossPena went 3-for-4 with two doubles, one RBI and one run scored in Saturday's 7-5 loss to the Mariners.
ImpactPena had gone five games without an extra-base hit prior to Saturday. This was his second three-hit game of the season, though he's also racked up six strikeouts over his last four contests. The shortstop is slashing .252/.300/.458 with six home runs, 18 RBI, 22 runs scored, nine doubles and six stolen bases through 33 games.

J.P. France - Strong in debutFrance allowed three hits and a walk while striking out five over five scoreless innings in a no-decision versus the Mariners on Saturday.
ImpactFrance threw 51 of 84 pitches for strikes in his major-league debut. He was in line for the win before a meltdown from Rafael Montero and Ryne Stanek in the eighth inning. France was solid with a 2.33 ERA, 1.05 WHIP and 26:11 K:BB over 19.1 innings with Triple-A Sugar Land to start the year. The 28-year-old could stick in Houston's rotation for a while since Luis Garcia's (elbow) season is over while Lance McCullers (forearm) and Jose Urquidy (shoulder) are also on the injured list. France is tentatively projected to make a road start versus the White Sox next week in the likely event he stays up with the big club.

Ty France - Rattles off three hits in winFrance went 3-for-5 in Saturday's 7-5 win over the Astros.
ImpactFrance wasn't directly involved in any run-scoring plays, but he was able to extend his hitting streak to four games. He's gone 6-for-18 in that span, but all of those hits have been singles. It's still better than the 0-for-19 slump over seven contests that preceded his recent run of success. France is slashing .252/.340/.350 with one home run, 15 RBI, 18 runs scored, a stolen base and nine doubles through 33 games this season.

Marco Gonzales - Decent in no-decisionGonzales allowed three runs on six hits and three walks with four strikeouts over six innings in a no-decision versus the Astros on Saturday.
ImpactGonzales has had only one truly awful outing this season, and that was last Sunday versus the Blue Jays. He looked to be in line for his first loss of the season Saturday before the Mariners rallied for seven runs in the eighth inning. The soft-throwing southpaw now has a 4.70 ERA, 1.47 WHIP and 23:11 K:BB through 30.2 innings across six starts. He's projected for a road start in Detroit next week.
