Impact After a couple of shaky outings since returning from a shoulder strain, Means finally looked like himself Saturday. The only run he gave up was a solo home run to Eric Haase in the fourth inning. Means has been Baltimore's most reliable starter this year with a 2.84 ERA, 0.87 WHIP and 79:15 K:BB through 88.2 innings, but Saturday was his first quality start since May 24. He tentatively lines up for a start versus the Rays during next weekend's series.

Impact Means loaded the bases in the first inning but only allowed one run during the frame, and he bounced back with four straight scoreless innings. However, he allowed a three-run homer with two outs in the sixth inning that put him in line for the loss. The southpaw was able to settle for a no-decision since the Orioles came back in the bottom of the ninth inning, but he's now given up nine runs in 11.2 innings across his two starts since he returned from the injured list. Means tentatively lines up to make his next start on the road against Detroit on Saturday.

Impact Mean was brilliant in his first eight starts, cruising to a 1.21 ERA and 0.71 WHIP and recording a no-hitter against the Mariners. He struggled to a 5.21 ERA over his next four starts and then hit the injured list with a shoulder strain in early June. He's ready to go again following a trio of rehab outings, but he might not be able to pitch very deep into Tuesday's contest, as none of those rehab appearances lasted longer than three innings.
