Impact With Jeff McNeil (wrist) done for the year, the door is open for Iglesias to get a starting role at second base down the stretch for the Mets. The 34-year-old infielder has been remarkably productive since joining the team in late May, and he's slowed down only a little in the second half, slashing .278/.326/.329 over 86 plate appearances since the beginning of August. Iglesias offers effectively no power and only a little speed, but consistent playing time will still give him some fantasy upside in deep formats.

Iglesias continues to get consistent playing time at second base while occasionally filling in at third base, and through 65 plate appearances in August he's slashing .276/.338/.328 with two steals, five runs and five RBI.

Impact The veteran infielder got the start at second base and batted sixth, and he kept up the offensive production that has pushed him into a near-everyday role. Even with Jeff McNeil turning things around at the plate, Iglesias has started eight of 13 games so far in August, batting .313 (10-for-32) with two doubles, three RBI and four runs. The lack of counting stats makes him tough to roster in shallower formats however, and with Starling Marte (knee) potentially returning from the IL this weekend, Iglesias could find himself relegated to the short side of a platoon with McNeil at the keystone.
