Impact Profar has failed to claim a regular spot in the Padres lineup but made his presence felt in this one with his third long ball of the season. The eight-year veteran hasn't had a very strong season, though, as he's only hitting .241 with a .682 OPS through 322 plate appearances, and if we factor his lack of consistent playing time in recent weeks, then he simply doesn't carry a lot of upside across most formats.

Kicks off rehab assignment Profar (COVID-19 injured list) started a rehab assignment at Triple-A El Paso on Sunday, going 1-for-3 with a pair of walks while playing all nine innings in left field.
Impact After completing a mandatory week-and-a-half-long quarantine, Profar was cleared to join El Paso to begin ramping up again. The fact that he was able to play a full game in his return to action is a sign that Profar likely won't stick around El Paso for much longer before joining the Padres. Once reinstated, Profar should be in store for a handful of starts per week as San Diego's top utility man.
