Impact While it's not the spring Gibson would have wanted, it's unwise to overreact and adjust his ranking significantly based on a small sample of exhibition innings. He doesn't have particularly high fantasy appeal as a 34-year-old pitch-to-contact starter in one of the league's most hitter-friendly parks, but he's a fine late-round option in deeper leagues after producing a 3.71 ERA last season, the second-best mark of his seven-year career.

Things took a drastic turn in the fifth, however, as Chicago touched Gibson up for five hits -- including two homers -- and crossed the plate four times. The disappointing frame resulted in the right-hander's second loss in his past three appearances and extended his streak of outings without a quality start to three. Gibson will look to get back on track the next time he takes the mound, which is currently slated to be Sunday in New York against the Mets.
