Mike Trout - Missing out on All-Star Game Trout (back) won't be available for Tuesday's MLB All-Star Game, ESPN.com reports.
Impact On Sunday, the American League officially added Seattle's Ty France to its Midsummer Classic roster as a replacement for Trout, who won't be available for the exhibition after missing the Angels' final four games of the All-Star break with upper-back spasms. Minnesota's Byron Buxton is slated to start in center field in place of Trout, who still hopes to avoid a stint on the injured list. With the Angels getting Sunday off, he'll have five full days to heal up before the Halos open their second-half schedule Friday in Atlanta.

Impact For the second straight game, Marsh was the only thing standing between the Dodgers and a shutout win. The 24-year-old accounted for both of the Angels' runs against the local rivals during this weekend's two-game set. Marsh is up to nine homers, 36 RBI, 32 runs scored, seven stolen bases and a .225/.278/.352 slash line through 294 plate appearances. Assuming Mike Trout (back) is good to go after the All-Star break, Marsh could see his role reduced to the strong side of a platoon in left field.

José Suarez - Yields three homers in loss Suarez (1-4) allowed six runs on five hits and three walks with six strikeouts in 3.2 innings, taking the loss Saturday versus the Dodgers.
Impact Suarez hasn't completed five innings in any of his three July starts. He's allowed 12 runs in 12 innings this month. Saturday's outing was marred by the long ball, as Trea Turner took him deep twice and Max Muncy added a three-run blast. Suarez had a 4.36 ERA at the end of June, but it's now at 5.60 with a 1.58 WHIP and 45:22 K:BB across 45 innings in 11 appearances (nine starts) this year. The Angels are expected to resume a six-man rotation after the All-Star break, so he's not yet at immediate risk of losing his starting role despite the recent struggles.
