Anthony Rendon - Could return Monday Rendon (hamstring) said Sunday that he could be reinstated from the 60-day injured list for Monday's series opener against the Rangers, Rhett Bollinger of MLB.com reports.
Impact The 34-year-old faced live pitching Friday and Saturday, and he appears set to rejoin the Angels without embarking on a minor-league rehab assignment. José Soriano - Handed loss Sunday Soriano (4-7) allowed three runs on six hits and a walk while striking out three over five innings to take the loss Sunday versus the Cubs.
Impact Soriano gave up two runs in the third inning and another in the fifth, and the Angels mustered just three hits to give him little support. He's allowed seven runs over nine innings across two starts since he returned from an abdominal infection.
