Mickey Moniak - Goes deep in win Moniak went 2-for-4 with a three-run home run in Wednesday's win over Texas.
Impact Moniak gave the Angels a 4-1 lead with his three-run homer in the bottom of the second and later added a single, giving him his second multi-hit effort in his last three games. Over that brief stretch he's batting .333 (4-for-12) with two extra-base hits, five RBI and three runs scored. However, Moniak's average on the season still sits at .198 following Wednesday's performance and he's batting .222 in July (6-for-27). The home run was his fifth of the campaign and his first since his grand slam against Oakland on June 25.

Zach Neto - Three hits, three RBI in win Neto went 3-for-4 with a double, a home run, three RBI and two runs scored in Wednesday's win over the Rangers.
Impact Neto singled in his first trip to the plate before coming around to score on a Mickey Moniak homer in the following at-bat as the Angels took an early 4-0 lead. The shortstop would then drive home three runs of his own over the course of the night, starting with an RBI double in the third and finishing with a two-run blast in the eighth, giving him his 12th long ball of the campaign. Neto has now posted multiple hits in back-to-back games, while Wednesday marked his third three-hit performance this season.

Griffin Canning - Allows two runs in no-decision Canning did not factor into the decision in a win over the Rangers on Wednesday, allowing two runs on seven hits and two walks over 4.1 innings while striking out three.
Impact Canning cruised through the first four innings before failing to retire five of the first six batters he faced in the fifth, including Leody Taveras, who took the right-hander deep for a two-run shot. The 28-year-old was then relieved by Hans Crouse with one out in the frame, missing out on the chance to secure his fourth win of the season. Canning did induce 12 swings and misses on the night but has now gone just 4.1 innings in back-to-back starts while posting a 7:4 K:BB to open the month of July. He's also allowed at least one home run in six consecutive outings and has just one win since May 15 (span of 10 starts).

Impact Daniel completed eight scoreless innings in his first major-league start late last month, but in two outings since then he allowed 12 runs (11 earned) over nine innings. He could return at some point after the All-Star break, but for now Daniel will cede his rotation spot to Jack Kochanowicz.

Impact Silseth won the Angels' No. 5 starter job coming out of spring training, but he made just two turns through the rotation before landing on the 60-day injured list in April with elbow inflammation. Even though he's now considered fully healthy and the Halos' starting pitching depth has only been further tested by injuries as the season has unfolded, the Angels weren't willing to open a rotation spot for Silseth after he struggled across his five-start rehab assignment in the minors. Silseth didn't show much improvement June 27 in his first start since being activated, so he'll now head to the Triple-A bullpen in what's expected to be a temporary move while he looks to improve his control and regain velocity following his recent absence due to the elbow injury. The Angels are still seemingly viewing Silseth as a starter over the long haul, but he doesn't look as though he'll be a realistic option for the big-league rotation anytime soon.
