The 24-year-old outfielder has maintained an uninspiring .246/.300/.369 slash line with six home runs, 30 RBI, 25 runs scored and seven doubles through 224 plate appearances. He should continue to play regularly versus right-handed pitchers as the Angels' primary left fielder while Juan Lagares handles the short side of the platoon.

ImpactWard snapped an 0-for-13 skid at the plate with this three-hit effort. He's now gone 11 contests without an extra-base hit, going 8-for-45 in that span (.178), which included a minimum stay on the injured list. The 28-year-old's strong Sunday allowed his slash line to rebound to .309/.404/.562, but it appears regression has taken hold a bit after he was one of the hottest hitters in the game over the first two months of the season. He's added 10 home runs, 26 RBI, a career-high 34 runs and a stolen base in 45 games.

Mike Trout - Keeps power binge goingTrout went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Sunday's 4-0 win over the Mariners.

ImpactTrout finished the five-game series this weekend with five homers, including blasts that accounted for the game-winning run in each of the last three contests. The power surge has him up to 21 long balls in 61 games. He's added a .290/.389/.659 slash line with 43 RBI, 47 runs scored, 15 doubles and a triple across 252 plate appearances. He'll look to keep things going this week back in Anaheim, as the Angels are set to welcome the Royals for three games early in the week before another series with the Mariners over next weekend.

Logan Gilbert - No help in lossGilbert (7-3) allowed two runs on four hits and no walks with six strikeouts in six innings, taking the loss Sunday versus the Angels.

ImpactGilbert was the latest Mariners pitcher to fall victim to Mike Trout, who took him deep in the fourth inning. With a lack of run support, Gilbert ended up with his first loss since May 17. He's still turned in seven straight quality starts, and he's logged a 2.28 ERA, 1.04 WHIP and 82:23 K:BB through 83 innings in 14 starts overall. The right-hander lines up for a rematch at Angel Stadium next weekend.
