Woeful outing in relief Lorenzen (0-1) was tagged with the loss in relief Tuesday against the Brewers after allowing four runs on three hits and a walk in one-third of an inning.

Impact Lorenzen had logged 12 straight scoreless outings and hadn't allowed a single run before melting down in this one. He entered the game with a 4-1 lead and by the time he departed the mound, the Brewers were up 5-4 and didn't let the lead slip away the rest of the game. As a result, his ERA spiked to 2.63 -- though given it was just the case of one bad outing, fantasy owners shouldn't look too much into it and should continue trusting the seven-year veteran.

Impact Lorenzen has now converted saves on consecutive days. The 29-year-old has yet to give up a run this season while scattering six hits and seven walks across 13.1 innings. He's added five holds in 12 appearances, so it's clear that manager David Bell trusts Lorenzen in the late innings, whether as a closer or a setup man.

Impact Lorenzen inherited a tricky two-on, one-out situation in the eighth inning with the Reds up by three Saturday night. Although he allowed one of his inherited runners to score, he induced a double play ball from Bryan De La Cruz to escape the jam. He benefitted from another double play in the ninth to pick up his second save of the season. After returning from a hamstring injury July 30, the right-hander has yet to allow an earned run in 10 outings. If he can remain healthy, he's likely to work in some of the Reds' high-leverage situations alongside Mychal Givens.

Impact Lorenzen has made just a single big-league appearance this season, as he returned from a shoulder injury in mid-July only to exit his first appearance with a hamstring injury.
