Leaves game with trainer Pineda was removed from Friday's game against the Rays in the top of the third inning with an apparent injury, Do-Hyoung Park of MLB.com reports.
Impact Pineda struggled early in Friday's start, as he gave up four runs on six hits and no walks while striking out three in 2.2 innings. He was visited by a trainer with two outs in the top of the third frame and immediately removed, but the nature and severity of the injury aren'y yet clear.

Impact Pineda allowed just one extra-base hit on a fourth-inning solo home run by Yordan Alvarez. Unfortunately, the Twins' offense didn't provide any run support and Pineda took his third loss in his last five starts. The 32-year-old has a 3.83 ERA, a 1.20 WHIP and a 7.7 K/9 in 82.1 innings this season. His next start is scheduled for Friday against the Rays.

Impact Pineda was given a 2-0 lead in the second inning but quickly gave it up when the Cardinals plated two runs in the third.
