Tyrone Taylor - Nearing rehab assignment Taylor (elbow) is on track to begin a rehab assignment with Triple-A Nashville on Tuesday, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.

Impact Taylor has been playing in extended spring training games and is almost ready to test things out in real game action. He's been out since just before spring training with a right elbow sprain. With Joey Wiemer sliding over to center field to fill in for Garrett Mitchell (shoulder), the Brewers could use Taylor in right.

Blake Perkins - Joining big club The Brewers recalled Perkins from Triple-A Nashville on Wednesday, Curt Hogg of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.

Impact He'll be joining the big club as a replacement on the 26-man active roster for Garrett Mitchell (shoulder), who was placed on the 10-day injured list in a corresponding move. The 26-year-old Perkins received the call-up over top outfield prospect Sal Frelick, who is dealing with a jammed thumb. Over his 54 plate appearances at Nashville this season, Perkins slashed .292/.370/.417 with a home run and a stolen base. While Christian Yelich and Joey Wiemer will likely continue to handle everyday roles in the outfield, the Brewers still have an opening that could potentially go to either Perkins or Owen Miller. The switch-hitting Perkins could end up occupying the larger side of a platoon with the righty-hitting Miller.

Garrett Mitchell - Lands on IL The Brewers placed Mitchell (shoulder) on the 10-day injured list Wednesday with left shoulder subluxation, Curt Hogg of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.

Impact Mitchell wore a sling Wednesday morning and is indeed dealing with an IL-worthy shoulder injury. It's unclear how long the center fielder, who's slashing .259/.306/.466 with three home runs this season, will be on the shelf.

Impact The rookie outfielder had to exit Tuesday's game against the Mariners with a left shoulder subluxation. The team is expected to provide more on Mitchell's status later Wednesday, but the fact that he's wearing a sling certainly wouldn't appear to be a good sign.

Impact Perkins has slowed some after getting off to a fast start in his first stint with Nashville, but he has made a good deal of contact early in the campaign. He is on Milwaukee's 40-man roster, which puts him in the mix for the first call-up of his career if Garrett Mitchell (shoulder) misses any time at the big-league level.

Impact Frelick carried a .196 batting average and a .548 OPS into Tuesday's contest, but both those marks look considerably better following his big night. Frelick is one of Milwaukee's top prospects and posted a .943 OPS over 46 Triple-A games last season, so he was bound to get going eventually. The 23-year-old is on track to make his big-league debut at some point this year, and that timeline could be sped up if Garrett Mitchell (shoulder) is forced to miss time.

Bryse Wilson - Bags first win of season Wilson threw two innings of relief and picked up the win in Tuesday's 6-5 extra-inning victory over the Mariners.

Impact Wilson got a chance to close Tuesday after the Brewers pushed across a run in the top of the 10th inning, and although he blew the save, he kept the game knotted at five. He remained in the game for another frame, and after his offense plated another run in the 11th, Wilson kept the Mariners off the scoreboard and picked up his first win of the season. Wilson is working as Milwaukee's long reliever, but he has recorded two three-inning saves in addition to the win, and he also owns a 0.82 ERA and 1.18 WHIP over 11.0 innings.

Impact Bush had allowed at least one runner to reach base in five straight appearances, but he got back on track Tuesday, punching out all three batters he faced. His control issues have opened the door for other relievers to enter the setup mix, but Bush was the last pitcher to enter Tuesday's game before closer Devin Williams, so it appears he remains the preferred option in that spot.

Impact The 27-year-old doubled home Christian Yelich during the third inning, clubbed a solo homer in the sixth and delivered an RBI groundout during the 11th to put the Brewers ahead for good. It's the second three-hit game of the season for Adames, who has four home runs and is tied for second on the team with 12 RBI.
