Adrian Houser - Making first rehab start Friday Houser (groin) will begin his rehab assignment Friday with Triple-A Nashville, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.
Impact Houser hasn't pitched in a game since exiting a spring training appearance with groin tightness March 25. If all goes well, Houser could return to the Brewers' bullpen within a week or so as a multi-inning reliever.

Peter Strzelecki - Off to strong start Strzelecki tossed 1.1 scoreless innings and picked up his second hold of the season in Thursday's victory over the Padres.
Impact Strzelecki became a reliable reliever for the Brewers last season, and he has been that and some early on in the 2023 campaign, firing 6.1 scoreless frames over six appearances while allowing just five runners to reach base. He currently slots in as the third option in the Brewers' bullpen behind closer Devin Williams and setup man Matt Bush, but Bush has not been particularly sharp since joining the Brewers last August, so it's possible he could move up a peg in the pecking order.

Devin Williams - Snags second win Williams struck out all three batters he faced and picked up his second win of the season in Thursday's victory over the Padres.
Impact Williams was summoned from the bullpen with both teams even on the scoreboard in the bottom of the ninth inning, and he earned the win when the Brewers plated a run in the top of the 10th inning and prevented San Diego from doing any more scoring. Williams has had only one save opportunity thus far, but more are sure to come, particularly if the 9-4 Brewers -- who sit second league-wide in run differential -- maintain their winning ways.

Willy Adames - Swipes two bags in win Adames went 0-for-3 with a two walks and two stolen bases in Thursday's 4-3, 10-inning victory against the Padres.
Impact Adames failed to get a hit in the contest, but he reached twice on walks and stole second base after each free pass. The thefts were his first of the campaign. Adames isn't known as a major threat on the basepaths, though he did steal a career-best eight bags last season.

Rowdy Tellez - Knocks in three runs Thursday Tellez went 2-for-3 with a two-run home run, a walk and an additional RBI in a 4-3 extra-inning win against San Diego on Thursday.
Impact Tellez helped get Milwaukee off to a positive start, drilling a two-run homer to right field in the first inning. The first baseman added what proved to be the game-winning RBI in the top of the 10th with a sacrifice fly. Tellez endured a rough start to the campaign, slashing just .143/.242/.286 with one long ball over his first eight contests. He could be turning things around, however, as he's gone 3-for-9 with a pair of homers, four RBI and a 2:0 BB:K across his past three games.

Joel Payamps - Secures first career save Payamps earned a save against the Padres on Thursday, allowing one hit and striking out one batter in a scoreless 10th inning.
Impact Milwaukee closer Devin Williams was deployed to keep a 3-3 tie intact in the bottom of the ninth inning, which he did successfully. After the Brewers took the lead in the top of the 10th, manager Craig Counsell turned to Payamps to close things out. The right-hander came through in the clutch situation, allowing a two-out infield single but nothing else in compiling a scoreless frame and notching his first career save. Despite the positive outcome, Williams is the clear closer for the Brewers, and Payamps isn't likely to see many (if any) additional save chances moving forward.

Colin Rea - Excels in spot start Rea tossed 5.2 innings against San Diego on Thursday, allowing one run on two hits and one walk while striking out six batters. He did not factor in the decision.
Impact Rea was called up from Triple-A for a spot start to face the club he pitched for in 2015 and 2016. The right-hander did about as well as the Brewers could have hoped, allowing just a single run (on a Manny Machado solo homer) over 5.2 frames. Rea spent the 2022 season in Japan and signed a minor-league deal with Milwaukee during this past offseason, and he got the opportunity to start Thursday with Brandon Woodruff (shoulder) on the IL and the Brewers opting to give their other starters an extra day of rest. It remains to be seen if he'll get another turn in the rotation -- even if he does, he's a risky fantasy play given his career 4.78 ERA and 1.33 WHIP.
