Freddy Peralta - Starting Sunday Peralta will start Sunday's game against the Marlins, Todd Rosiak of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.

Impact Peralta has worked two and 1.2 innings in two appearances since returning from the injured list Sept. 25. That said, it's unclear how deep into Sunday's game he'll be able to work, though the Brewers may be willing to push him a bit as they face a near must-win scenario to keep their postseason hopes alive.

He hasn't tossed more than 41 pitches in either of his two appearances since returning from the injured list, so it's possible that he won't be able to handle a full workload as Saturday's starter.

Devin Williams - Strikes out three for save Williams picked up the save Friday against the Marlins, allowing no runs on one hit while striking out three and walking two over one inning.

Impact Williams escaped with the save after allowing a hit and two walks. He tossed 13 of 27 pitches for strikes to pick up his 15th save of the season. He has six saves this month after apparently locking down the closer job. The righty reliever has allowed just one earned run in 10.1 innings this month across nine appearances, lowering his ERA to 1.64.

Burnes took the win thanks to a sixth-inning sac fly from Rowdy Tellez. Burnes needed 103 pitches, 62 of which were strikes, to get through eight frames. It was his fourth quality start this month and lowered his ERA from 3.11 to 2.98.

Freddy Peralta - Surrenders grand slam in relief Peralta (4-4) blew the save and took the loss in Thursday's 4-2 loss against Miami. He allowed four runs on three hits and one walk while striking out three over 1.2 innings.

Impact Peralta entered Thursday's game up 2-0 in the seventh inning as a reliever and set down the side in order but cost the Brewers the game with a mistake to Avisail Garcia in the eighth. The 26-year-old loaded the bases on a couple of hits and a walk, and then Garcia tagged him for a huge grand slam to put the Marlins up 4-2 and saddle Peralta with his fourth loss of the season. When asked about it post-game, manager Craig Counsell defended his decision to use Peralta out of the bullpen, indicating that Peralta may remain a reliever to close the season. He now has a 3.77 ERA over 74 innings.

Eric Lauer - Fans nine in strong start Lauer did not factor into the decision against the Marlins Thursday, firing five scoreless innings with nine strikeouts and just one hit allowed.

Impact After needing 66 pitches to get through 2.2 innings in his return from the IL in his last start, Lauer bounced back in a big way by holding Miami to one hit. He needed just 71 pitches to complete five innings and record nine strikeouts, his highest total since July 4. The bullpen went on to blow the game and cost Lauer the win, but the strong start was an encouraging sign for the southpaw. He will take a 3.83 ERA into his next start.
