Adrian Houser - Departs with injury Houser was removed from Tuesday's start against the Cardinals with an apparent groin injury, Derrick Goold of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.
Impact The right-hander appeared to suffer the injury during the fourth inning as he landed awkwardly while delivering a pitch. Houser exited in line for the loss and allowed three runs on two hits with three strikeouts and four walks over 3.1 frames. He limped off the field under his own power, and it's unclear how the injury will affect his next turn through the rotation.

Impact Though Milwaukee never officially announced the transaction, the veteran outfielder was apparently exposed to waivers upon being activated from the IL and will stay in the organization after going unclaimed. Before being placed on the IL on Aug. 27 with a right elbow effusion, Davis logged a .224/.344/.237 slash line over 91 plate appearances for Milwaukee on the season.

Aaron Ashby - Works out of bullpen Ashby covered 1.2 innings out of the bullpen in Sunday's 2-1 loss to the Reds, allowing one earned run on two hits and two walks.
Impact In his return from the 15-day injured list last Tuesday, Ashby made a two-inning start against the Mets, but he shifted to a relief role for the Brewers' series finale with the Reds. Ashby ended up following starter Freddy Peralta, who was capped at two innings following his own return from the IL on Sunday.
