Christian Yelich - Good to go Friday Yelich (back) is starting in left field and batting leadoff Friday against San Francisco, Sophia Minnaert of Bally Sports Wisconsin reports.

Impact The 30-year-old has been held out since being scratched from Tuesday's lineup with mid-back tightness, but he's been cleared to return to action Friday versus the Giants. It's an encouraging sign Yelich is back playing the field rather than being limited to DH duties.

Tyrone Taylor - Beginning rehab assignment Taylor (concussion) will begin a rehab assignment at Triple-A Nashville on Friday, Todd Rosiak of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.

Impact Taylor landed on the 7-day concussion injured list July 3 and was initially expected to rejoin the Brewers this weekend, but he recently experienced a setback in his recovery. Given his recent setback, it wouldn't be surprising to see the Brewers exercise caution by holding Taylor out until after the All-Star break.

Willy Adames - Swipes bag in win Adames went 1-for-5 with an RBI and a stolen base in Thursday's 3-2 extra-inning win over the Giants.

Impact Adames got aboard on a fielder's choice, advanced to second on a wild pitch and stole third in the first inning. The shortstop has hit safely in eight of 12 games in July, going 11-for-49 (.224) with three home runs and two steals in that span. For the season, he's slashing .214/.287/.470 with 18 homers, 50 RBI, 46 runs scored, three steals and 14 doubles. While his average is nothing special, he's on pace for a career year in the counting stats.

Hunter Renfroe - Records rare steal Renfroe went 1-for-4 with a double, a walk and a stolen base in Thursday's 3-2 extra-inning win over the Giants.

Impact Renfroe was 0-for-1 in stolen base attempts this year before swiping second as part of a double-steal in the first inning. Considering this was his 14th career steal in seven years, the outfielder shouldn't be expected to run often. He's gone 1-for-8 with a walk in two games since he returned from a calf injury that cost him a few weeks. Renfroe is slashing .243/.296/.481 with 13 home runs, 27 RBI, 27 runs scored and 10 doubles through 56 contests.

Impact Josh Hader and Williams had pitched each of the last two days, but the former took a loss Wednesday after allowing three runs. Williams continued his recent run of dominance even as Mike Yastrzemski stole third as the designated runner. Williams' scoreless streak is now two months long, as he hasn't allowed any runs in his last 24.2 innings across 26 appearances. He owns a 1.77 ERA, 1.04 WHIP and 59:19 K:BB through 35.2 innings this year while adding six saves and 23 holds, and he hasn't been charged with a blown save.

Impact Since a pair of bad starts to begin June (six earned runs over eight frames), Burnes has bounced back by allowing only eight runs (seven earned) over his last 41 innings. The right-hander has racked up three double-digit strikeout games in that span and has seven such starts this year. He's pitched to a dominant 2.14 ERA, 0.90 WHIP and 144:27 K:BB across 113.2 innings overall. He was named to the National League's All-Star roster, so it's likely the next time he takes the mound is Tuesday in Los Angeles during the Midsummer Classic.

Impact Ashby limited the damage against him effectively, and he has now allowed only three earned runs across his last 9.1 innings in the span of two starts. However, in order to record 13 outs Wednesday, Ashby had to throw 101 pitches -- only 58 which went for strikes. Ashby has shown flashes of effectiveness as a starter this season, but he'll have to improve his control to get more consistent results, as he has walked more than three batters in six of 11 starts on the campaign. Overall, Ashby owns a 4.37 ERA with a 81:32 K:BB across 68 frames for the season.

Josh Hader - Serves up three-hun homer Hader (0-3) allowed three earned runs on two hits and a walk without recording an out to take the loss Wednesday against the Twins.

Impact Hader entered the game with the score knotted at 1-1 in the ninth inning, but he served up a walk-off three-run home run to Jose Miranda. While it doesn't change his outlook much in the long term, Hader has now allowed at least one earned run in four of his last five appearances. He's still managed two saves in that span but has also taken two losses. Despite the recent struggles, Hader still owns a 2.73 ERA with a 52:11 K:BB across 29.2 frames for the season.
