Daniel Vogelbach - Homers, doubles in winVogelbach went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run, a double, a walk and another run scored during Thursday's win over the Reds.
ImpactVogelbach extended Milwaukee's lead by taking Sean Doolittle deep in the seventh inning. He also tacked on a double in the ninth. The 28-year-old now has six homers and five doubles on the season, including three long balls in his last five starts. Despite a recent uptick in power, Vogelbach is batting just .221/.333/.397 overall, though he should continue seeing regular opportunities with Keston Hiura recently sent back to Triple-A

Joey Votto - Cranks sixth homerVotto went 1-for-4 with a solo home run during Thursday's loss to the Brewers.
ImpactVotto got the Reds on the board by taking Freddy Peralta deep in the second inning. It was the sixth long ball of the year for the 37-year-old, who collected a pair of walks in his return from a month-long stint on the injured list Wednesday after dealing with a thumb injury. Despite a slow start to the season, Votto was heating up before the injury and will look to continue that success now that he's healthy.

Freddy Peralta - Fans six in no-decisionPeralta did not factor into the decision during Thursday's win over the Reds despite allowing one run on two hits and a pair of walks while striking out six across four innings.
ImpactA 37-minute rain delay put the hammer in Peralta's successful outing. The right-hander left the game with the score tied, 1-1, with his only damage of the day coming from a solo homer by Joey Votto in the second inning. Unfortunately, Peralta snapped his streak of seven-plus punchouts to begin a season at 11 starts. Regardless, over his last six outings, Peralta has collected 45 strikeouts while allowing just five runs over 36 innings. The 25-year-old lines up for a rematch with the Reds at home early next week.

Luis Castillo - Strapped with tough lossCastillo (2-9) was charged with the loss against the Brewers on Thursday after allowing three runs on one hit and three walks while striking out seven over 5.2 innings.
ImpactIt wasn't the cleanest first inning for Castillo, who opened the game by hitting a batter while also issuing a walk and giving up an RBI single to Avisail Garcia. The right-hander responded well, however, retiring 11 straight and pitching a 0-2 count on seven of his 15 hitters faced before heading into a 37-minute rain delay after the fourth. Upon returning, Castillo retired four more batters before running into trouble. After the 28-year-old issued two walks and worked for a 10-pitch strikeout, he was pulled in favor of Lucas Sims, who allowed both inherited runners to score. On the season, Castillo has compiled a 6.47 ERA and 1.58 WHIP. He lines up to get another chance with the Brewers on the road next week.
