Alec Bettinger - Heads back to minorsBettinger was optioned back to Triple-A Nashville on Monday.

Jace Peterson - Designated for assignmentPeterson (thumb) was reinstated from the 10-day injured list and designated for assignment Monday.
ImpactPeterson spent just over a month on the 10-day injured list with a left thumb injury and had been on a rehab assignment with Triple-A Nashville recently. While the 31-year-old is now healthy, he'll be cast off the 40-man roster as part of a shuffle after Keston Hiura was recalled in a corresponding move.

Keston Hiura - Officially recalled by BrewersHiura was recalled by the Brewers on Monday.
ImpactHiura was sent to Triple-A Nashville at the beginning of May, and he slashed .438/.526/.906 with three home runs, seven RBI and two stolen bases in nine minor-league games. He isn't guaranteed an everyday role with the big-league club going forward, as Daniel Vogelbach has posted a .784 OPS since Hiura's demotion. As a result, Hiura could have to settle for the short side of a platoon at first base in the near future.

Nick Lodolo - Dazzles at Double-ALodolo was named the Double-A South Player of the Week after he struck out 11 while allowing only two baserunners over 7.1 innings in his May 19 start for Chattanooga.
ImpactThe duo of Lodolo and fellow top pitching prospect Hunter Greene at the top of the Chattanooga rotation has proven formidable over the first month of the minor-league season. After his big week, Lodolo is holding down a 0.57 ERA, 0.86 WHIP and 14.2 K/9 through three starts, while Greene (1.69 ERA, 0.90 WHIP and 14.1 K/9) boasts similarly brilliant ratios. The Reds would probably prefer to keep the 23-year-old lefty in the minors until 2022, but that could change if the big club finds itself in playoff contention late in the second half of the season and the pitching staff needs a boost.
