Jose Miranda - Dealing with sore shoulder Miranda has been limited to designated hitter duty early on in camp because of a sore right shoulder, Twins manager Rocco Baldelli told Nick Nelson of TwinsDaily.com Tuesday.
Impact The shoulder evidently doesn't bother Miranda at the plate but is causing some issues when throwing. It does not sound like a major concern at this point, but it's unclear when Miranda might be cleared to play the field. He's slated for third base duties in 2023 after spending most of 2022 at first base.

Trevor Larnach - Nursing lower-body issue Larnach didn't play Tuesday because of a lower-body issue, Twins manager Rocco Baldelli told Nick Nelson of TwinsDaily.com.
Impact The skipper didn't have any additional details. Larnach missed much of the 2022 campaign with a core injury, but the hope is that this latest injury only costs Larnach a few days. If healthy, Larnach should see regular playing time against righties this season between the corner outfield spots and designated hitter.

Impact The condition of Correa's ankle was a major topic of conversation this offseason, but he reported to camp healthy and with no limitations. Him not playing in the Twins' first five games seems to be more about getting the veteran treatment and easing into things. Correa is expected to leave camp for a bit at some point in March with his wife due to give birth to the couple's second child soon.

Trevor Larnach - Gets first hit of spring Larnach started at DH and went 1-for-3 in his spring debut in Monday's loss to Boston. He's 1-for-5 with a walk in two games this spring.
Impact Larnach had an injury-plagued 2022 season, as he had core muscle surgery June 27 and didn't play in the majors again. He worked his way back to Triple-A during a rehab assignment but then was sidelined by a wrist injury. He'll battle for a roster spot this spring and could win a starting DH role. He could also begin the season at Triple-A, especially after the Twins added Donovan Solano to the reserve infielder mix. Larnach, a 2018 first-round draft pick, has 30-plus home run potential if he can make more contact.

The injury apparently surfaced while Winder was working out in December, and though the shoulder issue isn't yet being viewed as anything that jeopardizes his availability for Opening Day, it could hinder his chances of breaking camp as a member of the rotation.
