Before being placed on the IL, Larnach had been serving as a regular starter in left field and was slashing .231/.306/.406 with five home runs and 18 RBI in 180 plate appearances on the season.

Bailey Ober - Ready to throw off mound Ober (groin) will begin a bullpen progression Tuesday in Fort Myers, Fla., in hopes of a September return, Betsy Helfand of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.
Impact Ober has been out since early June with an aponeurotic plate injury, which he described as a tendon pulling on his pelvic bone. Because of the time he missed in addition to the fact that the Twins still want him to get stretched out for starting duty, Ober is likely at least three weeks away from coming off the 60-day injured list.

Josh Winder - Set to begin throwing Winder (shoulder) will begin a bullpen progression Tuesday in Fort Myers, Fla. in hopes of a September return, Betsy Helfand of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.
Impact Winder looked as though he might have been a candidate to get shut down for the season after he landed on Triple-A St. Paul's 7-day injured list July 23 with right shoulder impingement syndrome, but he's apparently recovering more quickly than expected. He'll still need about three weeks to get fully ramped back up, so he won't be a realistic candidate to return from the Triple-A IL and rejoin the Twins until the roster expands in September.

Jose Miranda - Two more hits in loss Miranda went 2-for-5 with one RBI in Sunday's loss against the Blue Jays.
Impact The 24-year-old continues to rake, with Sunday marking his second straight two-hit effort. Now hitting .352 since the beginning of July, Miranda is living up to his prospect pedigree. The Twins have moved him more regularly into the cleanup spot in the order, and that has allowed him to rank fourth in the majors in RBI since the beginning of July.

Luis Arraez - Three hits again Arraez went 3-for-5 with one double and one RBI in Sunday's 3-2 loss against the Blue Jays.
Impact For the second time in as many days, Arraez notched three hits, increasing his average to an AL-leading .329 clip. While his performance this season has been admirable, it may be time to sell high as he has overperformed his xSLG and xwOBA dispite hitting just six home runs, and he is drastically overperforming his xBA of .285.

Impact The veteran right-hander was effective through five innings, as he held a strong Toronto offense to just two runs through five innings and did not walk a batter for the first time in 10 starts. Sunday's effort was also the first time that Archer has completed five innings since June 30, and he has only done so four times in 18 games this season, recording just two wins in the process. He looks to get back in the win column against a struggling Angels team next weekend.

Alex Kirilloff - Needs another wrist surgery Kirilloff is scheduled to undergo season-ending ulnar shortening surgery on his right wrist next Tuesday in Los Angeles, Do-Hyoung Park of MLB.com reports.
Impact Kirilloff has now missed time on account of issues with his right wrist in three of the past four seasons, so the Twins are hoping that the surgery will address the matter once and for all. It's the second major procedure of Kirilloff's career, as the 24-year-old previously missed the entire 2017 minor-league campaign after requiring Tommy John surgery. Though the Twins expect Kirilloff to get a clean bill of health heading into spring training, he could need some time to regain strength in the wrist and tap into more power. Perhaps due in no small part due to the lingering wrist problems, Kirilloff has already struggled to hit for the sort of power in the majors that many projected during his prospect days, as he owns a .398 slugging percentage over 387 career big-league plate appearances.
