Luke Voit - Absence unrelated to hand
Manager Aaron Boone said Voit is not injured and is just getting a day off Friday, Bryan Hoch of MLB.com reports.
Impact
There was some speculation that Voit's hand, hit by a pitch Thursday, was the cause for his omission from Friday's lineup. That's not the case, though, and he figures to return to action Saturday.

Zack Britton - Thursday activation expected
The Yankees plan to activate Britton (hamstring) from the 10-day injured list Thursday following the All-Star break, Marly Rivera of ESPN.com reports.
Impact
A left hamstring strain has sidelined the reliever since June 26. That and an offseason elbow procedure have limited Britton to five appearances thus far in 2021. He allowed a run in two of the games and has a 4.15 ERA through 4.1 innings of work. If he is activated Thursday, Britton will be back in time for a critical four-game series against the Red Sox.

Miguel Andújar - Nursing wrist strain
Andujar has been diagnosed with a left wrist strain, Bryan Hoch of MLB.com reports.
Impact
Manager Aaron Boone said the team will decide Saturday whether the left fielder will require a stint on the injured list. If he does go to the IL, Tim Locastro and Tyler Wade figure to carry the load in left field for however long he's sidelined.

Luke Voit - Takes seat Friday
Voit is not starting Friday's series opener against the Astros.
Impact
The first baseman took a pitch to the hand Thursday afternoon, but it's unclear whether that is the reason for his absence from Friday's lineup. Voit is hitting .333 in his last eight games, largely due to a five-hit showing Tuesday in Seattle. DJ LeMahieu is shifting to first base Friday, with Rougned Odor getting a start at second base.

Taylor Trammell - Appears to be losing time
Trammell remains out of the starting lineup Friday against the Angels.
Impact
Trammell has just five hits in 35 at-bats dating back to June 13 and he will now sit for the fourth time in five games. Shed Long, Jake Fraley and Jake Bauers will start in the outfield from left to right.

Miguel Andújar - Not playing Friday
Andujar (hand/wrist) is not in the lineup for Friday's game against the Astros.
Impact
There's been no further update from the Yankees on Andujar, who underwent an MRI this week to look into left hand and wrist soreness. Tyler Wade is starting in left field and batting ninth Friday.
