Returns from IL The Rockies reinstated Jones (back) from the 10-day injured list Sunday.
Impact Jones was placed on the injured list just before the All-Star break due to a low-back strain. He made 13 outings during his rehab assignment and slashed .333/.455/.733 with four home runs and 14 RBI across 54 plate appearances over that span. Jones should regain his starting job in left field and form a platoon with the righty-hitting Jordan Beck. To make room on the 26-man roster for Jones, Colorado optioned Hunter Goodman to Triple-A Albuquerque.
