Jake Diekman - Notches four-out save Diekman recorded a save in Wednesday's win over the Mariners after tossing 1.1 scoreless innings, giving up one hit and one walk while fanning one.

Impact Diekman had failed to capitalize each of his last two save opportunities, but he bounced back here and registered the final four outs of the contest. Even though he allowed two baserunners in the ninth, the veteran left-hander closed things out by retiring Jarred Kelenic through a flyout. Diekman has gone 6-for-8 in save opportunities.

Matt Olson - Plates two runs Olson went 1-for-3 with a home run and an additional RBI in Wednesday's win over the Mariners.

Impact Olson socked his 13th long ball of the season with a solo shot in the third inning, and he later added another RBI in the bottom of the fourth with a sac fly that scored Elvis Andrus. The first baseman has been seeing the ball well of late and has hit safely in all but two of his last 11 contests, hitting .300 with a 1.133 OPS, five homers and a 6:5 BB:K across 46 plate appearances in that span.

James Kaprielian - Impressive against Seattle Kaprielian (2-0) earned the win Wednesday against the Mariners after tossing seven scoreless innings, giving up two hits and two walks while fanning four.

Impact The rookie right-hander continues to impress and while the sample size is small, he's looked outstanding through his first three appearances. Wednesday's outing might have been his best outing so far, though, as he clinched his first quality start at the MLB level and improved his ERA to 1.53 across 17.2 innings. Kaprielian's next start is scheduled for next week against the Mariners on the road.

A.J. Puk - Second straight rough rehab outing Puk (biceps) allowed four earned runs on four hits over 1.1 innings while also recording four strikeouts in Triple-A Las Vegas' loss to Salt Lake on Tuesday.

Impact Puk allowed a two-run home run to Brennon Lund in the sixth inning and then opened the seventh by putting a pair of runners on that eventually came around to score after the left-hander had exited. Puk has now allowed seven runs over two innings covering his last two rehab appearances, although his four strikeouts Tuesday were a bright spot. It appears likely Puk will make at least one more appearance for the Aviators in an attempt to have him return to the majors with some momentum.

Impact Andrus slapped his first hits since May 20 and accounted for three of Oakland's eight hits on the game but was stranded on each occasion. The encouraging effort raised his average from an anemic .174 to a still-lackluster .190 with seven extra-base hits and three steals on the season.
