Reymin Guduan - Blows save Sunday Guduan was charged with a blown save Sunday against the Angels after allowing a hit in two-thirds of an inning.

Impact Guduan entered in the seventh with the bases loaded and the Athletics clinging to a one-run lead. He allowed the Angels to tie it up on a sacrifice fly and then gave them the lead on an RBI-single by Jose Iglesias. Neither of the runs scored were charged to him but he was still handed a blown save. The 29-year-old lefty has struggled to a 6.75 ERA, 1.80 WHIP and 5:5 K:BB over 13.1 innings.

Sean Manaea - Allows one run over five innings Manaea allowed one run on four hits and two walks while striking out six over five innings against the Angels on Sunday. He did not factor into the decision.

Impact Manaea held the Angels' hitters in check over five innings. The only run scored against him came in the fourth on an RBI groundout by Jared Walsh. It was a much-needed performance for the 29-year-old Manaea after a pair of rough outings in which he was lit up for 10 runs on 20 hits over eight combined innings. He'll take a 4.17 ERA, 1.31 WHIP and 54:11 K:BB over 54 innings into his next start.

Deolis Guerra - Suffers loss Sunday Guerra (1-1) allowed one run on one hit and a walk over an inning as he took the loss Sunday against the Angels.

Impact Guerra surrendered a leadoff walk in the eighth and eventually allowed that runner to score to give the Angels a 6-5 lead after a pair of sacrifices and a single advanced him home. The 32-year-old righty owns a 4.12 ERA and 19:8 K:BB over 19.2 innings.

Seth Brown - Homers in third straight Brown went 1-for-2 with a two-run homer and a walk in Sunday's 6-5 loss to the Angels.

Impact Brown launched a two-run shot off Dylan Bundy in the second to give the Athletics an early 3-0 lead just two batters after Matt Olson took him deep to start off the inning. It was the 28-year-old Brown's third homer in his last three games which has also amounted to five RBI over that span. Overall, Brown is slashing just .222/.293/.522 with eight home runs, 18 RBI and 15 runs scored.

Matt Olson - Goes long again Olson went 2-for-3 with a solo home run, a walk and two runs scored in Sunday's 6-5 loss to the Angels.

Impact Olson drove in the first run of the game with a 445-foot solo blast to right field to lead off the second inning. He added a base hit in the third and later walked and scored in the seventh. The 27-year-old is slashing .268/.354/.562 with 12 home runs, 28 RBI, 26 runs scored and a 19:31 BB:K. Olson continues to be one of the premier power-hitting players in baseball and has improved his concentration at the plate. He has only struck out in 17.7 percent of his plate appearances which is a significant improvement after striking out 31.4 percent of the time last season.

Mark Canha - Nursing sore elbow Athletics manager Bob Melvin said Canha was held out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Angels due to a sore elbow, Shayna Rubin of The San Jose Mercury News reports.

Impact Melvin opted to keep Canha on the bench after the outfielder's elbow swelled up after he was hit by a pitch in Saturday's 6-2 win. The Athletics are hopeful a day off will be enough to resolve the injury, but Canha's fantasy managers will still want to track his status heading into Oakland's three-game series with the Mariners that begins Monday.

Impact The left-hander gave up some hard contact to a couple of hitters with major-league experience in Luis Rengifo and Jo Adell, who tagged him for a double and a solo home run, respectively. Saturday's outing represented a test of sorts for Puk, as it came on the shortest amount of rest yet (two days) during his four-appearance rehab assignment. It remains to be seen if Puk's poor final line will play any role in the Athletics' decision on when to activate him, as he'd already put together three previous solid appearances for the Aviators.
