ImpactAfter recording just three hits in his last 12 games, Toro will return to the minors. 2022 has been a disappointing campaign that saw him slash .179/.236/.314 over 339 plate appearances. If he shows signs of progress over the offseason, there is still a chance he could make the Mariners' big-league roster in 2023.

Phillips Valdez - Outrighted to Triple-AValdez cleared waivers and was outrighted to Triple-A Tacoma on Monday.

ImpactValdez lost his spot on Seattle's 40-man roster Friday, but he'll remain in the organization after going unclaimed on waivers. The right-hander made 13 appearances for the Red Sox earlier this year and posted a 4.41 ERA and 1.16 WHIP in 16.1 innings.
