Aramis Garcia - Joining big-league club The Phillies selected Garcia's contract from Lehigh Valley on Saturday.

Impact J.T. Realmuto suffered a knee injury Friday against the Marlins and Garcia's call-up could indicate a significant absence for Realmuto. If Realmuto is forced to miss time, Garcia would be in line to share catching duties with Garrett Stubbs. Garcia hasn't appeared in an MLB game since 2022 and is slashing .161/.215/.282 with Lehigh Valley this season.

Nick Nelson - DFA'd by Phillies The Phillies designated Nelson for assignment Saturday.

Impact Nelson's contract was selected Wednesday, and he threw two innings of relief Friday against the Marlins, yielding one run on two hits and two walks with three Ks. The 28-year-old logged a 6.85 ERA across 46 innings at Triple-A Lehigh Valley this season.

Rodolfo Castro - Bumped to 60-day IL Castro (thumb) was recalled from Triple-A Lehigh Valley on Saturday and placed on the 60-day injured list, Scott Lauber of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.

Impact Castro has already been ruled out for the season, but the shift to the 60-day injured list opens up a spot on the 40-man roster for Jose Cuas. Castro didn't appear in a game for the Phillies in 2024.

José Cuas - Claimed by Phillies The Phillies claimed Cuas off waivers Saturday from Toronto and optioned him to Triple-A Lehigh Valley, Scott Lauber of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.

Impact Cuas was DFA'd by the Blue Jays on Thursday after allowing three runs in three innings spanning four appearances with Toronto. The 30-year-old will get a fresh start with the Phillies, though he'll start out in the minors at Lehigh Valley.

J.T. Realmuto - Sitting down Saturday Realmuto (knee) isn't in the Phillies' lineup Saturday against the Marlins.

Impact Realmuto was taken out of Friday's contest after he fouled a ball off his left knee in the second inning. The team hasn't indicated that the 33-year-old will need to spend time on the injured list, though the issue is apparently severe enough to warrant a day off Saturday. Garrett Stubbs will catch for Aaron Nola and bat ninth.

Kyle Schwarber - Homers, drives in three Schwarber went 2-for-5 with a home run, three runs scored, three RBI and a walk in Friday's win over Miami.

Impact Schwarber reached on an error and scored in the first inning. He then knocked an RBI single and scored again in the second before capping off his day with a two-run blast in the sixth. It was Schwarber's fifth home run in his last four games following a 17-game drought. He's up to 33 long balls and 92 RBI with an .857 OPS through 130 games.

Johan Rojas - Knocks three doubles Rojas went 3-for-5 with three doubles, three runs scored and two RBI in Friday's win over the Marlins.

Impact Rojas' doubles came in the second, fifth and sixth innings. The latter two were RBI knocks and he would come around to score after all three of his extra-base hits. Rojas was stuck in a 1-for-14 skid over his previous five games before Friday's big performance. He's now slashing .243/.281/.313 with 14 extra-base hits and 23 stolen bases over 325 plate appearances.

Trea Turner - Goes deep, drives in three Turner went 3-for-5 with a home run, a double, three RBI, three runs scored and a walk in Friday's win over Miami.

Impact Turner was one of four Phillies with three hits in the 16-2 thrashing of the Marlins. He wasted no time making an impact early; Turner singled and scored in the first inning before drilling a two-run shot in the second. He later added an RBI double and another run scored in the fifth. Turner has gone 17-for-54 (.315) over his last 13 games, driving his season slash line up to .300/.347/.467 with 38 extra-base hits and 15 steals through 100 games.

Zack Wheeler - Picks up easy win Wheeler (14-6) allowed a run on two hits and a walk over six innings Friday, striking out seven and earning a win over the Marlins.

Impact The Phillies gave Wheeler a 3-0 lead before he took the mound and went up 14-1 by the time he left the game. He fired 56 of 84 pitches for strikes, including 15 whiffs, and gave up his lone run in the fourth inning on an Otto Lopez double. Wheeler is 4-1 with a stellar 1.60 ERA and 51:6 K:BB through seven starts since the beginning of August. His season ERA is down to 2.59 alongside a 190:46 K:BB over 173.2 frames. Wheeler is lined up for a home matchup against the Rays next week.
