Phillies at White Sox Series Preview: Pitching Matchups, Predictions and MoreThe Philadelphia Phillies will face the Chicago White Sox for a three-game series that begins with a doubleheader on Tuesday. Here is everyt...

Lucas Sims - Likely coming off IL on WednesdayThe Reds are expected to reinstate Sims (back) from the 15-day injured list prior to Wednesday's game against the Rays, Bobby Nightengale of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.
ImpactSims has already rejoined the Reds in Cincinnati, but he'll get a couple more days to rest up following his recent three-appearance rehab assignment at Triple-A Louisville. He covered exactly one inning in each of those outings and gave up no runs on one hit and two walks while striking out three. Once activated, Sims will likely settle back into a setup role in front of closer Alexis Diaz.

Jason Vosler - Takes seat MondayVosler is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Rays.
ImpactSince the Rays are deploying a lefty (Jalen Beeks) as their opening pitcher Monday, the lefty-hitting Vosler will take a seat for the third time in five games, with his other two absences also coming against southpaws. Wil Myers will get the nod at first base Monday, but Vosler should have a clear path to regular playing time versus righties at least until Joey Votto (shoulder/biceps) is activated from the 10-day injured list.

Kevin Newman - Making second straight startNewman (shoulder) will serve as the Reds' designated hitter and No. 5 batter in Monday's game against the Rays.
ImpactNewman was struck on the shoulder by a pitch in Thursday's 6-2 win over the Phillies, but he was deemed available off the bench for the Reds' subsequent two games before he re-entered the lineup at shortstop in the series finale Sunday, going 1-for-3 with an RBI. After checking out fine following that game, he'll stick in the lineup for a second straight day, albeit in a non-defensive role.

Stuart Fairchild - Batting second MondayFairchild is starting in left field and batting second for the Reds on Monday versus the Rays.
ImpactIt's his sixth start of the season and all six have come against left-handed pitching. While that does mean Fairchild's playing time could be fairly sparse, he is usually in a good spot in the lineup when he does play. Also worth noting is Fairchild is 2-for-5 with his lone homer versus righties this season and just 3-for-17 against lefties.

Nick Senzel - Making fifth straight startSenzel is starting at third base and batting seventh for the Reds on Monday versus the Rays.
ImpactSenzel has started all five games since being activated from the injured list, with the previous four coming in center field. He's 3-for-15 with one stolen base so far. Senzel has also played some second base in addition to third base and the outfield, so he could be picking up some additional position eligibility in fantasy leagues.

Spencer Steer - Not in Monday's lineupSteer (quad) is absent from the Reds' lineup Monday against the Rays.
ImpactSteer had to exit Sunday's game versus the Phillies with a quad issue and isn't ready to play a day later. It's considered a day-to-day situation for the time being. Nick Senzel is covering third base Monday.
