Ke'Bryan Hayes - Blasts fifth homerHayes went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in Sunday's 3-2 loss to Cincinnati.
ImpactThe third baseman went deep in the sixth inning to cut Pittsburgh's deficit to one run, but that was as close as it got. After Hayes went 0-for-11 in three games versus Milwaukee to start the week, he ended it hot by going 6-for-15 across four games in Cincinnati. He's up to five homers, 23 RBI, 26 runs scored, two stolen bases and a .254/.322/.394 slash line across 236 plate appearances.

Bryse Wilson - Decent in lossWilson (2-5) allowed three runs on six hits and a walk with seven strikeouts in six innings, taking the loss Sunday versus Cincinnati.
ImpactWilson has yielded four runs across 11 innings since he joined Pittsburgh at the trade deadline. The right-hander was fine Sunday outside of a three-run fourth inning, and the seven strikeouts were a season high. He's posted a 5.24 ERA, 1.52 WHIP and 30:15 K:BB across 44.2 innings overall. Pittsburgh's not exactly brimming with talent in the rotation, so Wilson could remain in a starting role, which would have him in line to face Milwaukee next weekend.

Tyler Stephenson - Doubles in returnStephenson (hamstring) went 1-for-4 with a double, an RBI and a run scored in Sunday's 3-2 win over Pittsburgh.
ImpactThe catcher's scoring contributions came in the fourth inning when he drove in a run on a fielder's choice and scored on a Kyle Farmer double. Stephenson missed two games with the hamstring injury, but he should go back to splitting time with Tucker Barnhart behind the plate. Through 281 plate appearances, Stephenson has a .282/.370/.419 slash line, six home runs, 34 RBI, 44 runs scored and 15 doubles.

Mychal Givens - Logs perfect inning for saveGivens struck out one in a perfect inning to earn the save in Sunday's 3-2 win over Pittsburgh.
ImpactThe right-hander has posted saves in each of his last two appearances, and his scoreless streak is up to nine innings. Despite a 1.23 WHIP, one of the highest of his career, Givens has pitched to a 2.27 ERA across 35.2 innings between Colorado and Cincinnati this season. He's been immediately entrusted with a high-leverage role, and it appears he could join the likes of Heath Hembree, Lucas Sims and Amir Garrett in manager David Bell's closing committee.

Tyler Mahle - Strikes out 10 in winMahle (9-3) allowed two runs on six hits while striking out 10 over seven innings to earn the win over Pittsburgh on Sunday.
