Not included on wild-card squad Hill is not part of the Twins' wild-card roster, Brandon Warne of Access Twins reports.
Impact Hill's exclusion is presumably due to the fact that he started Sunday against the Reds. He therefore won't be ready to pitch at any point in the Wild Card Round, which ends Thursday. If the Twins advance, he could certainly play a role, as he cruised to a 3.03 ERA and 1.16 WHIP in eight starts this season.

Impact The lefty got the better of Sonny Gray in what was potentially the 40-year-old's final MLB start -- the Twins are going with Michael Pineda as their No. 3 starter in the postseason. However, the bullpen couldn't hold the lead Sunday and thus the Twins were stuck with their first series loss at Target Field this season. Hill closes out the 2020 regular season with a 2-2 record, 3.03 ERA, 1.16 WHIP and 31:17 K:BB in 38.2 innings around a stint on the IL with shoulder trouble.

Impressive in loss Hill (2-2) was charged with the loss against the Cubs on Friday, allowing just one run on three hits and a pair of walks while striking out five across seven innings.
Impact Hill got off to a tough first inning but managed to only allow one run to score on an RBI single by Willson Contreras. The southpaw blanked Chicago the rest of the way during his longest outing of the season, but unfortunately, the lone run he surrendered was enough to land him the loss. Hill, who was coming off a season-high seven strikeouts, has now allowed only five runs across his last 17 innings -- striking out 17 and walking only four during that span. The 40-year-old will take the mound next Wednesday against Detroit.

Impact Hill held Cleveland scoreless in four of the five innings he pitched, the only blemish coming in the fourth frame. He struck out a season-best seven batters, while working five innings for his second consecutive start. Hill's results were a bit uneven early on, but he has now allowed only four earned runs across his last 10 innings -- striking out 12 and walking only two. He'll look to keep things going his next turn through the rotation, currently projected to come Friday at the Cubs.
