Padres create all-too-familiar feelings with another frustrating loss Friday night, the Padres offered a reminder of why this season has been far less fun than hoped.
Michael Wacha - Dominant run ends Wacha (5-2) took the loss Friday, allowing two runs on three hits and five walks over 4.2 innings against the Cubs. He struck out eight.
Impact For the first time since April 20, Wacha didn't complete five innings, as he struggled with command, walking a season-high five batters. The eight strikeouts provided some relief, but he ended up taking his second loss of the season. Wacha has been all over the place this season, posting a 0.84 ERA in May following his 6.75 ERA in April. He should settle in near his career ERA of 4.00.

Rougned Odor - Leaves with apparent injury Odor left Friday's game against the Cubs with an apparent injury, Jeff Sanders of The San Diego Union-Tribune reports. He went 2-for-3 with a run scored before exiting.
Impact Odor doubled into the alley in the eighth inning, but the infielder pulled up lame before exiting the contest. Ha-Seong Kim came in as a pinch runner, and for now, Odor should be considered day-to-day.

Impact Machado will return to the lineup after missing over two weeks with fracture in his left hand. The 30-year-old has struggled from the plate this season, slashing .231/.282/.372 over 156 at-bats with the Padres, all of which represent career lows.
