Gary Sánchez - Continues to produce for new team Sanchez went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run and a walk against the Cubs in Monday's 5-0 win.

Impact Sanchez put the Padres on the board in the second inning with a two-run shot to left field. The veteran catcher has logged just 28 at-bats for San Diego so far, but he's already gone deep three times -- one more than fellow backstops Austin Nola and Luis Campusano (thumb) have produced over 128 at-bats combined. Sanchez should have an open path to the primary catcher role for the Padres moving forward given the struggles of Nola in particular.

Manny Machado - Tallies three hits and three runs Machado went 3-for-4 with a double and scored three runs in Monday's 5-0 win against the Cubs.

Impact Machado entered the game having gone just 1-for-11 since returning from the injured list Friday, but he was able to collect a trio of base knocks that led to three of San Diego's five runs. It has his fourth three-hit performance of the season, though the third baseman has struggled as a whole with a .234/.285/.368 slash line. The most glaring missing component of his season has been power -- Machado has gone deep just once over his past 17 contests and only five times overall after totaling 60 long balls across the previous two campaigns.

Blake Snell - Tosses six scoreless frames Snell (2-6) earned the win over the Cubs on Monday, allowing two hits and three walks while striking out eight batters over six scoreless innings.

Impact Snell didn't resolve his season-long command issues -- he handed out multiple free passes for the sixth straight outing -- but he yielded just two hits, both of which were singles. The left-hander also racked up 17 whiffs and fell one shy of his season high with eight strikeouts. Snell appears to be finding his groove, as he has posted back-to-back scoreless starts, during which he has surrendered just five hits and tallied 15 strikeouts over 12 innings. His ERA was up to 5.40 through May 19, but with three strong outings since then, it now stands at a much more respectable 4.06.

Xander Bogaerts - Hoping to be back Tuesday Bogaerts (wrist) hopes to return to the Padres' lineup Tuesday against the Mariners, Jeff Sanders of The San Diego Union-Tribune reports.

Impact Bogaerts is missing a second straight start Monday with left wrist soreness. It's an injury which first cropped up during spring training and was fixed at that time with a cortisone shot. However, it flared up again when Bogaerts was hit on the wrist by a Spencer Strider pitch back on April 18 and it's too soon for him to be given another injection. For what it's worth, Bogaerts was batting .347/.422/.556 with four homers in 19 games through that April 18 contest. Since then, he's hit .204/.294/.303 with three homers in 38 contests.

Rougned Odor - Starting Monday Odor (groin) is starting at second base and batting leadoff Monday versus the Cubs, Jeff Sanders of The San Diego Union-Tribune reports.

Impact Odor will be back in the lineup after exiting Friday's loss early with a groin injury and missing the last two games. The 29-year-old has produced a .310 batting average with three homers, 14 RBI, seven runs scored and two stolen bases over 42 at-bats since May 16.

Impact Weathers gave up one run in the first inning followed by four in the second, including a pair of solo homers. In four starts since returning to the big leagues, he's posted an ugly 7.79 ERA through 17.1 innings. His season ERA has ballooned up to 5.09 with a 23:15 K:BB. If Weathers gets another turn in the rotation, it's currently lined up to be in Colorado.
