Camilo Doval - Yields run but earns save Doval allowed a run on one hit and struck out two without issuing a walk in one inning to earn the save in Tuesday's 4-3 win over the Phillies.

Impact Doval gave up a two-out solo home run to Kyle Schwarber, but bounced back to strike out J.T. Realmuto to end the contest. The homer was the first run Doval has allowed in eight outings in May. He's converted saves in seven of those appearances while adding a 12:3 K:BB. The Giants' closer has a 2.41 ERA, 1.02 WHIP, 27:9 K:BB and 10 saves in 11 chances over 18.2 innings this season.

Ross Stripling - Starting Wednesday against Phillies Stripling will start Wednesday's contest against the Phillies, Alex Pavlovic of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.

Impact Sean Manaea was penciled in as the starter for Wednesday's series finale against Philadelphia, but instead it will be Stripling who gets the ball against the Phillies. Stripling has often pitched as a bulk hurler in 2023 -- he has yet to throw more than five innings in any of his eight appearances for the Giants this season -- and it's possible Manaea could be a relief option for this contest as well. Cobb owns a 1.94 ERA, 1.35 WHIP and 44:13 K:BB over 51 innings. He's tentatively projected for a road start in Minnesota early next week.

Vaun Brown - Active at Double-A Brown (knee) was activated from the 7-day injured list Tuesday for Double-A Richmond.

Impact He hit .351 with a home run and five steals in nine games during a rehab assignment. Brown excelled as an older outfielder in the lower levels of the minors last season, and given that he turns 25 in June, he is still old for his current level. His average or better power and 70-grade speed make Brown one to hold in dynasty leagues.
