Impact Carasiti's first game action in his return from Tommy John surgery was far less than impressive. The 30-year-old hasn't pitched at any level since 2019, when he logged 9.2 innings with the Mariners, posting a 4.66 ERA and 1.66 WHIP. The right-hander seems destined to need some time with Triple-A Sacramento before potentially getting a look with the Giants in the summer.

Darin Ruf - Signs two-year deal Ruf and the Giants agreed to a two-year, $6.25 million extension Tuesday which includes a club option for a third season, Jeff Passan of ESPN.com reports.

Impact Ruf is 35 years old, but the deal actually merely buys out the final two years of his team control while adding an option for one more season. He didn't debut until age 25 and spent parts of five years with the Phillies before heading overseas to spend three seasons starring for the Samsung Lions in Korea. He's crushed the ball since returning stateside with the Giants in 2020, hitting .272/.381/.519 in 412 trips to the plate, though he's primarily filled the short side of a platoon, which caps his fantasy value.

Impact Wade became a key part of the Giants' offense last season with 18 home runs, 56 RBI and 52 runs scored in 109 games. He also slashed .253/.326/.482 across 381 plate appearances. Manager Gabe Kapler often deploys platoons around the diamond, and Wade is likely to see the strong side of one in right field this season. He's also able to play in the other two outfield positions and at first base, but he probably won't be an everyday option since he hit just .135 in 37 at-bats versus lefties last year.
