J.P. Crawford - Playing in MiLB game Saturday Crawford (shoulder) will play in a minor-league game Saturday to receive at-bats, Corey Brock of The Athletic reports.

Impact Crawford has been out of the lineup since March 13 because of a "soggy" right shoulder. The infielder will get at-bats on the back fields of Arizona, and he has a good chance to be back at shortstop for Seattle for Monday's Cactus League contest. It looks likely that Crawford will be ready for the regular season.

Mason McCoy - Chance to make Opening Day roster McCoy has a chance to make the Opening Day roster for the Mariners, Ryan Divish of The Seattle Times reports.

Impact He has impressed during spring training with his defense, and the fact that the Mariners will open the season without Dylan Moore (oblique) certainly helps McCoy's chances of making the roster. The 27-year-old is capable of playing all over the infield, and would likely be the backup to J.P. Crawford at short, Eugenio Suarez at third and Kolten Wong at second.

Kaden Polcovich - Reassigned to minor-league camp Polcovich was reassigned to minor-league camp by the Mariners on Friday, Corey Brock of The Athletic reports.

Impact Polcovich hit just .242 in 118 games with Double-A Arkansas in 2022, but did get on at a -345 clip with 12 homers and 18 steals. The infielder/outfielder will likely provide depth for the upper levels, and could either return to Double-A or possibly help out Triple-A Tacoma.

Impact Woo is considered one of the better pitching prospects in the Seattle system and registered a 84:22 K:BB in 57 innings with a 4.11 ERA for short-season Arizona, Low-A Modesto and High-A Everett. He likely begins the season in Double-A Arkansas, and could be an option for the Mariners in the 2024 season.

Impact The 43rd pick of the 2020 draft, DeLoach spent 2022 with Double-A Arkansas where he posted a .778 OPS with 14 homers and four stolen bases over 418 at-bats. The outfielder will likely be an option for Triple-A Tacoma to begin 2023.

Impact Hancock was the sixth pick of the 2019 MLB Draft, and registered a 3.75 ERA with a 1.20 WHIP over 98.1 innings for Double-A Arkansas. The 23-year-old right-hander will likely be a part of Triple-A Tacoma's rotation this year, and could be an option for Seattle at some point this summer.

Impact Moore was set to make his Cactus League debut Thursday after recovering from offseason core-muscle surgery, but he was scratched from Seattle's lineup and the imaging revealed the strain. The versatile infielder/outfielder will begin 2023 on the injured list, and he likely won't be able to make his season debut until the middle of April. The injury could open up more playing time for Sam Haggerty, and Mason McCoy could very well be the backup middle-infielder while Ford is out.

Impact The 26-year-old has made plenty of hard contact as that batting line corroborates, carrying over a favorable pattern that's been evident during Raleigh's first two big-league stints. Robbie Ray - Impressive through three starts Ray has a 1.13 ERA, 1.25 WHIP and 12:3 K:BB across eight innings in three Cactus League starts.

Impact Ray worked up to 28 pitches in his most recent start Monday against the Angels, and although he's pitched to some contact (seven hits), he' s impressively limited the damage. Ray scuffled to a 12-12 record in Mariners debut campaign in 2022, but he still generated an impressive 3.71 ERA and respectable 1.19 WHIP across 32 starts. The veteran southpaw's strikeout rate did drop from 2021's 32.1 percent in Toronto to 27.4 percent, however, but early returns this spring underscore that Ray's ability to miss bats at an above-average clip remains alive and well.

Impact Speier's slightly elevated ERA is almost exclusively the byproduct of having allowed two earned runs on three hits across one inning against the Angels on Monday, as he's been highly effective otherwise. Speier has given up just an earned run on two hits over 4.2 frames in his other five Cactus League outings, a caliber of performance similar to that which produced the 2.00 ERA and 1.15 WHIP he put together in 27 innings over 24 appearances for the Royals over the 2021 and 2022 seasons.

Gott is expected to be a key middle-innings asset for manager Scott Servais after posting 11 holds alongside a 4.14 ERA and 1.03 WHIP across 45 appearances for the Brewers in 2022.
