Mitch Haniger - Belts pinch-hit homer Wednesday Haniger entered a loss to the Dodgers on Wednesday as a pinch hitter in the top of the ninth inning and hit a solo home run in his only at-bat.
Impact The veteran outfielder had returned to the starting lineup Tuesday following a one-game absence due to a quadriceps injury and had gone 0-for-4, but he delivered in the clutch off the bench a day later. However, Haniger's blast only served to get the Mariners halfway to Los Angeles' eight-run total and turned out to be the final run of the night for Seattle. The solo shot did snap an 11-game homer-drought for the 33-year-old, whose .353 slugging percentage remains a career low.

Randy Arozarena - Two runs, stolen base in loss Arozarena went 1-for-2 with a stolen base and two runs scored in Wednesday's loss to the Dodgers while also drawing a walk and being hit by a pitch.
Impact Arozarena swiped his 18th bag of the season and eventually scored on a sacrifice fly from Dominic Canzone after being hit by a pitch to lead off the second. The recently-acquired outfielder would then go on to reach two more times in the contest, scoring two runs for the fifth time as a member of the Mariners. Arozarena had gone six games without recording a hit prior to Wednesday's performance and he's batting just .193 (11-for-57) in August with three homers, 13 RBI, 11 runs and two stolen bases. On a positive note, he's now drawn a walk in three consecutive games.

Logan Gilbert - Roughed up in loss Gilbert (7-10) took the loss against the Dodgers on Wednesday, allowing eight runs (six earned) on seven hits and two walks over 4.2 innings. He struck out seven.
Impact Gilbert retired the first eight batters he faced in the contest before a fielding error from Leo Rivas caused the first runner to reach for the Dodgers. The right-hander would then allow a two-run double to Mookie Betts before surrendering another six runs over the next two frames - though he would only be charged with six runs in total on the night. It marked Gilbert's shortest outing this month after previously going at least six innings in three straight. He's now lost five of his last six starts, posting a 4.89 ERA over that stretch to go along with a 38:6 K:BB.

Impact Wednesday marked the first time Crawford has swung a bat since he landed on the injured list with a fractured right finger. Victor Robles - Battling hip injury Robles isn't in the Mariners' lineup for Wednesday's game against the Dodgers due to a hip issue, Ryan Divish of The Seattle Times reports.
Impact The Mariners haven't offered any information regarding the nature of Robles' injury or how long they expect the outfielder to be sidelined, though he'll have the benefit of an additional day off Thursday before the Mariners' next series against the Giants. Luke Raley will start in center field Wednesday while Justin Turner covers first base.

Impact The Mariners have unsurprisingly been cautious with Rodriguez's gimpy right ankle, which led to his near three-week absence. However, manager Scott Servais said Tuesday that Rodriguez is back to running at top speed and therefore is likely to begin playing defense again in coming days. The slugger has been relatively productive while focusing solely on hitting over the last eight games, producing a .258 average with two doubles, an RBI, a walk and two runs across 33 plate appearances in that span.

Cal Raleigh - Productive in Tuesday's loss Raleigh went 2-for-4 with a double and two runs in a loss to the Dodgers on Tuesday.
Impact Raleigh bounced back from an 0-for-4 night in the series opener Monday to contribute his second multi-hit effort of August. The slugging catcher's two-bagger was his sixth extra-base hit in 15 games this month, and that pop has helped him to a respectable .453 slugging percentage in that span despite a .189 average and 25.4 percent strikeout rate.

Impact Munoz was called upon for a high leverage situation to face the heart of the Dodger order in the seventh with a man on second and one out and the Mariners clinging to a one-run lead. He wound up giving up a double to Mookie Betts to tie the game before eventually completing the frame. Munoz came back out in the eighth and put some traffic on the bases before eventually giving up a three-run homer to Jason Heyward to push the Dodgers in front. He's now blown consecutive saves and has allowed a home run in both appearances. Before this hiccup, Munoz was working on a scoreless streak of 14 appearances while allowing just one hit over that span. He's still in the midst of an excellent season, posting a 1.88 ERA, 1.00 WHIP and 58:22 K:BB in 48 innings while compiling 18 saves and six holds.

Bryce Miller - Only completes four frames Miller did not factor into the decision in Tuesday's loss to the Dodgers, allowing two runs on five hits and two walks while striking out five in four innings.
Impact Miller started out excellent by striking out the side in the first but needed 92 pitches to complete four frames with 51 of those pitches coming in the third and fourth innings. Miller was able to hold the Dodgers scoreless through three but was victimized by the home run ball in the fourth after giving up solo shots to Gavin Lux and Max Muncy. Those were the first two home runs he's given up in four August starts and he's only given up four total since the start of July. Miller has now failed to complete five innings in two of his last four starts, though he compiled back-to-back scoreless outings coming into Tuesday and is tied for second in the majors with seven scoreless starts this year (excluding openers). The 25-year-old owns a 3.32 ERA, 1.02 WHIP and 133:33 K:BB in 143.2 innings and lines up to face the Rays at home to begin next week.

Jorge Polanco - Plates three runs Polanco went 2-for-3 with a double, a walk and three RBI in Tuesday's loss to the Dodgers.
Impact Polanco drove in all three runs for the Mariners. He gave Seattle an early lead with a two-run single in the first and then added on with an RBI double in the third. Tuesday was just the third time this season he's had three RBI in a game. He also has three multi-hit efforts over his last eight games and is batting .357 over that span. It's still been a sluggish year overall for the 30-year-old, who's now slashing .221/.306/.368 with 12 homers, 36 RBI, 34 runs, three steals and a 35:108 BB:K in 346 plate appearances.
