Frazier's presence in the outfield has opened up the keystone for Toro, who will occupy the position for the third game in a row. Toro, who went 1-for-4 with a double and a run scored in Monday's 7-2 loss, will likely be in danger of moving into a reserve role as soon as the Mariners get one of Rodriguez, Moore, Mitch Haniger (ankle) or Ty France (wrist) back in the lineup.

Impact Haggerty will take a seat for the third game in a row, but his continued absence from the lineup looks to be a managerial decision rather than the result of an injury. Though the 28-year-old exited Saturday's 5-4 win over Houston after suffering a cut on his forehead that required eight stitches, he was deployed off the bench as a pinch runner in Sunday's 3-2 loss to the Astros. Jake Lamb - Lands with Mariners Lamb was traded from the Dodgers to the Mariners on Tuesday, Robert Murray of FanSided.com reports.
Impact The acquisition of Joey Gallo left one hitter too many on the Dodgers' roster, so the team decided to deal Lamb to Seattle. Lamb has played almost exclusively against righties this season and has posted an .814 OPS against pitchers who throw with that hand.

Matthew Boyd - Sent to Seattle The Mariners acquired Boyd (elbow) from the Giants on Tuesday, Jon Heyman of the New York Post reports.
Impact Boyd's move appears to be an addendum to the previously reported trade which sent Curt Casali (oblique) from San Francisco to Seattle in exchange for Michael Stryffeler, meaning the Mariners will be getting a pair of injured players in exchange for the Double-A reliever. Boyd hasn't thrown a pitch in an organized game this year as he makes his way back from flexor tendon surgery, but he resumed throwing in late July after a six-week setback. He's been a starter throughout his career, but the length of his absence means the Mariners are only expecting him to handle a multi-inning relief role upon his return, Ryan Divish of The Seattle Times reports. He's set to become a free agent this winter.

Curt Casali - Moved to Seattle The Mariners acquired Casali (oblique) and Matthew Boyd (elbow) from the Giants on Tuesday in exchange for right-hander Michael Stryffeler, Robert Murray of FanSided.com reports.
Impact Casali is on the injured list due to a right oblique strain, but he's already made three minor-league rehab appearances and should be ready to come off the IL by the end of the week. In his new destination, Casali will likely serve as the understudy to Cal Raleigh, who has shown enough strides at the plate over the past two months to hang on to the No. 1 job. In San Francisco, Casali had been occupying a larger side of a timeshare behind the dish with Joey Bart, but the trade should pave the way for Bart to see the lion's share of the starts at catcher for the Giants over the final two months of the season.

Impact Suarez's .231 average continues to leave plenty to be desired, but he's carrying a respectable .745 OPS thanks in large part to a strong 11.9 percent walk rate and 36 extra-base hits overall. The veteran slugger is a good bit off his usual home-run pace, however, as he's averaging a round tripper every 27.3 plate appearances, as opposed to one every 18.5 trips to the batter's box in his final Reds season a year ago.
