Arozarena, who'd been in the midst of a highly underwhelming season in several aspects during his time with the Rays, has brought his slash line up to a season-best .220/.328/.406, and he boasts a 1.010 OPS across 33 plate appearances in a Seattle uniform.

Bryce Miller - Can't make it through five frames Miller did not factor into the decision in an extra-inning win over the Phillies on Saturday, allowing four runs on six hits and one walk over 4.1 innings while striking out four.

Impact The Phillies' lineup put Miller to task early, posting back-to-back hits to open the contest before tagging the right-hander for one run in the first. He's slated for an X-ray Monday, which will be exactly two weeks since he suffered a fractured pinkie finger against the Angels. Crawford won't begin any sort of progression before Aug. 19, and Mariners general manager Justin Hollander labeled that timeline as "aggressive" and the earliest possible date the veteran shortstop would take that step.

Julio Rodríguez - Another step forward in recovery Rodriguez (ankle) began linear running during the Mariners' off day Thursday and is expected to begin swinging a bat soon, MLB.com reports.

Impact Mariners general manager Justin Hollander noted Rodriguez is "pushing it as much as he can" in his rehab, and he added the team's high-performance staff told him the biggest test will come when Rodriguez tries cutting and fast change of direction on the sprained ankle. There's no semblance of a return timetable yet in place for Rodriguez because of the unpredictable nature of high-ankle sprains, but Hollander expressed faith in the star outfielder's strength and recovery ability fueling a return in the not-too-distant future.

Dominic Canzone - Plays in second straight rehab game Canzone (thigh) started in right field and played five innings in Triple-A Tacoma's loss to Sacramento on Friday, going 1-for-3.

Impact The five-inning assignment was the second straight in as many rehab games for Canzone, who clearly tolerated Thursday's initial workload well. The recovering outfielder has six minor-league plate appearances under his belt thus far, and he may only need a handful more games with the Rainiers before being deemed ready for activation. However, what Canzone's playing time will look like once he's off the IL remains to be seen, given the Mariners acquired Randy Arozarena, who's handling an everyday role in right field, from the Rays at the deadline.
