Coors Field, Denver, CO
Darren McCaughan - Likely to draw another startMcCaughan will likely make a start during the next turn through Seattle's rotation, Ryan Divish of The Seattle Times reports.
ImpactMcCaughan served as the primary pitcher in Wednesday's loss to the Rockies, and he gave up a run on no hits and three walks in five innings. The right-hander was unable to generate any strikeouts, but general manager Jerry Dipoto said Thursday that McCaughan will likely draw the start early next week. The 25-year-old tentatively lines up to make his first major-league start at home against the Astros on Monday.

Daniel Bard - Collects 15th saveBard struck out one in a perfect ninth inning Wednesday to record his 15th save of the season in a 6-3 win over the Mariners.
ImpactThe flamethrowing right-hander is a perfect 4-for-4 on save chances in July, and Bard has only been scored upon once in his last nine appearances. On the season, the 36-year-old sports a 3.86 ERA, 1.49 WHIP and 50:18 K:BB through 39.2 innings.

Austin Gomber - Limits damage in seventh winGomber (7-5) picked up the win in Wednesday's 6-3 victory over the Mariners, allowing three runs on three hits and a walk over six innings. He struck out three.
ImpactMaking his first start since June 19 after he dealt with some forearm tightness, Gomber delivered his ninth quality start of the season, but things could have been much worse for the lefty as all three hits he gave up left Coors Field for solo shots. He's served up multiple homers four times in 16 starts this season, but remarkably this was the first such performance at home for the 27-year-old. Gomber will carry a 3.74 ERA, 1.04 WHIP and 79:24 K:BB through 84.1 innings into his next outing.

Mitch Haniger - Launches 23rd homerHaniger went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Wednesday's 6-3 loss to the Rockies.
ImpactThe M's only managed five hits on the afternoon against Austin Gomber and the Colorado bullpen, but three of them were solo shots. Haniger is enjoying a power surge, going yard five times in the last nine games while batting .382 (13-for-34) with 12 RBI, and the 30-year-old is now up to 23 homers on the season -- three shy of his career high.

Luis Torrens - Cranks 11th homerTorrens went 1-for-3 with a walk and a solo home run in Wednesday's 6-3 loss to the Rockies.
ImpactThe M's only managed five hits on the afternoon against Austin Gomber and the Colorado bullpen, but three of them were solo shots. Torrens' bat has kept him in the lineup even after the promotion of catching prospect Cal Raleigh -- he got the start at first base Wednesday, the first time Torrens has played the position in his big-league career, and through 13 games in July the 25-year-old is slashing .300/.429/.650 with four of his 11 homers on the year.

Kyle Seager - Belts 18th homerSeager went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Wednesday's 6-3 loss to the Rockies.
ImpactThe M's only managed five hits on the afternoon against Austin Gomber and the Colorado bullpen, but three of them were solo shots. Seager's second-inning blast was his 18th of the year, putting him on pace to reach 30 homers for only the second time in his career, but his .216/.286/.423 slash line remains underwhelming.
