Taylor Trammell - Cracks fourth homerTrammell went 1-for-3 with a solo home run in Thursday's win over the Astros.
ImpactTrammell accounted for all of the scoring in Seattle's 1-0 victory with his third-inning homer off Luis Garcia. It may not be enough to salvage his roster spot. The 23-year-old is still batting .157 with a .620 OPS after Thursday's homer, and with the minor-league season set to begin soon, it would not be a surprise to see Trammell head back to the farm for continued development.

Kendall Graveman - Picks up save No. 3Graveman worked around a hit in a scoreless ninth inning against the Astros on Thursday to earn his third save of the season. He struck out one batter.
ImpactAfter Yusei Kikuchi spun seven innings of one-hit ball, Anthony Misiewicz and Graveman completed the shutout for the Mariners. Graveman still has not given up a run yet this season (10.2 innings). Graveman is the clear top arm in the Seattle bullpen; as the relief ace, he projects for most of the save chances moving forward, although he will likely still be called upon occasionally to put out fires earlier in games.

Luis Garcia - Falls to 0-3Garcia (0-3) was stuck with the loss Thursday despite allowing just one run on three hits over five innings against the Mariners. He struck out six and did not issue a walk.
ImpactAround a solo shot allowed to Taylor Trammell in the third inning, Garcia was dominant, inducing 14 swinging strikes on just 73 pitches. The 0-3 record does not accurately reflect Garcia's performance so far this season; he now has a 2.70 ERA and 20:7 K:BB in 20 innings. Jake Odorizzi (forearm) is expected to miss an additional start or two, so Garcia figures to get another chance to make his case for a more permanent rotation spot.

Yusei Kikuchi - Takes no-hitter into seventhKikuchi (1-1) earned the win over the Astros on Thursday, allowing just one hit over seven scoreless innings. He struck out seven and issued two walks.
ImpactThe lefty turned in his best outing of the season so far, getting 17 called strikes and 17 swinging strikes on 95 pitches, and was rewarded with his first win of 2021. He did not give up a hit until the seventh inning when Carlos Correa got to Kikuchi for a one-out double. Kikuchi, who now has a 4.40 ERA and 27:11 K:BB through 30.2 innings, projects for a home start against the Orioles next week.
