Kyle Lewis - Shut down for seasonLewis has a bone bruise in his right knee and is being shut down for the rest of the 2021 season, Corey Brock of The Athletic reports.
ImpactThe 26-year-old suffered a torn meniscus in his right knee on May 31. Following surgery June 11, he was transferred to the 60-day injured list and was expected back in late August. It seemed likely that he was going to start a rehab assignment in the last couple weeks, but he suffered a setback and will end up only playing in 36 games in 2021. He finishes the campaign with five home runs, 11 RBI and two stolen bases while batting .246.

Jake Fraley - Could return this weekendFraley (shoulder) could join the Mariners this weekend at home against the Diamondbacks, Ryan Divish of The Seattle Times reports.
ImpactDivish says Fraley could return for the upcoming homestand, which begins Friday. He has been out since Aug. 27 with a shoulder injury. Fraley has had stretches of being highly productive this season, but he hit just .172/.254/.297 with two home runs and two steals in 64 August at-bats.
