Julio Rodríguez - Stays hot SaturdayRodriguez went 3-for-4 with two doubles, two RBI and a run scored in Saturday's 3-2 win over the Angels.
ImpactRodriguez logged his second straight multi-hit effort, which comes just after he had an 11-game hitting streak snapped. He also avoided striking out for the first time since July 24 in Saturday's victory. The star outfielder is slashing .255/.318/.432 with 18 home runs, 62 RBI, 67 runs scored, 26 stolen bases and 24 doubles through 108 contests.

Andrés Muñoz - Shaky in fifth saveMunoz allowed a run on two hits and two walks while striking out two over one inning to pick up the save in Saturday's 3-2 win over the Angels.
ImpactMunoz walked the tightrope for this one, getting two outs on 14 pitches before allowing four straight batters to reach. He loaded the bases on an intentional walk and then struck out Hunter Renfroe to close it out. Munoz's velocity gives him closer qualities, but he's prone to the occasional nightmarish outing. He's converted all three of his save chances since Paul Sewald was traded to Arizona. Matt Brash, who earned the save Friday, worked a scoreless eighth inning for a hold in Saturday's contest. Given both Munoz and Brash have appeared three times in the last four days, someone like Justin Topa could have a chance to vulture a save should a chance arise Sunday.

George Kirby - Excellent in winKirby (10-8) allowed a run on three hits and struck out five without walking a batter over seven innings to earn the win Saturday over the Angels.
ImpactThe lone blemish on Kirby's line was a Randal Grichuk solo home run in the third inning. This was a return to Kirby's impeccable control -- he'd issued eight walks over his last seven starts, an unusually high mark for the right-hander. He's logged 16 quality starts in 22 outings this season, pitching to a 3.32 ERA, 1.05 WHIP and 124:14 K:BB through 135.2 innings on the year. Kirby is projected for a difficult home start versus the Orioles next weekend.

Taylor Ward - Undergoes surgeryWard underwent facial surgery Friday, Rhett Bollinger of MLB.com reports.
ImpactWard fractured several bones in his face when taking a pitch to the head in late July, and he underwent procedures on both his left orbital bone and nose Friday. It's unclear exactly how long Ward will need to recover, but he is not eligible to be activated from the injured list until late September, so he will not be back on the field anytime soon.

Dominic Canzone - Sitting again SaturdayCanzone is out of the lineup for Saturday's game against the Angels.
ImpactThe Angels are starting a second straight lefty in Tyler Anderson, and with that, Canzone will remain on the bench. Dylan Moore and Teoscar Hernandez will man the outfield corners as Cal Raleigh serves as the designated hitter. Acquired from the Diamondbacks at the trade deadline, Canzone has gone 2-for-11 with a walk, a double and three runs scored to begin his tenure in Seattle.
