Kyle Seager - Busy day in winSeager went 1-for-3 with a run-scoring sacrifice fly, an RBI single and a walk in a win over the Angels on Sunday.
ImpactJ.P. Crawford and Donovan Walton made the most noise out of either end of the order, but Seager's contributions were also pivotal. The veteran third baseman is hitting just .216 and has an abysmal .282 on-base percentage as well, but he's carrying an acceptable .432 slugging percentage thanks to a 45.6 percent hard-hit rate and 26 extra-base hits (14 doubles, one triple, 11 home runs).

Brandon Marsh - Out with shoulder inflammationMarsh landed on the injured list for Triple-A Salt Lake on Monday due to right shoulder inflammation, though the issue isn't considered serious, Rhett Bollinger of MLB.com reports.
ImpactAt-bats are available in the Angels' outfielder with Mike Trout (calf) expected to be out past the All-Star break, but the team has so far turned to the likes of Juan Lagares and Taylor Ward rather than giving opportunities to Marsh or fellow prospect Jo Adell. Marsh wasn't exactly making a strong case for a promotion even before his injury, however, hitting just .183/.338/.317 in 16 Triple-A games. It's not clear exactly how long the shoulder issue will keep him out for, but he'd likely need several weeks of much stronger numbers if he's to earn a call-up.

Taylor Ward - Not starting MondayWard is out of the lineup Monday against the Royals.
ImpactWard has an .829 OPS over his past seven contests but will take a seat for Monday's matchup with Kansas City. Kean Wong will start in right field for the Halos.

James Hoyt - Recalled by AngelsHoyt was recalled by the Angels on Monday.
ImpactHoyt spent a brief period in the big leagues in early May, making a pair of scoreless relief appearances. He struggled to a 13.06 ERA in 10.1 innings for Triple-A Salt Lake but will be given another chance in the majors anyway, presumably in a low-leverage role. Hunter Strickland was designated for assignment in a corresponding move.

Hunter Strickland - DFA'd by HalosStrickland was designated for assignment by the Angels on Monday.
ImpactThe 32-year-old was acquired from Tampa Bay in mid-May for cash considerations, but he struggled in Los Angeles with seven runs allowed on 11 hits and a 4:4 K:BB over 6.1 innings. Strickland had a 1.69 ERA and 16:6 K:BB across 16 innings before the trade, and he'll now be available to be claimed off waivers.

Why the Mariners had to send Jarred Kelenic back to Triple AKelenic, who was hitless in his last 39 at-bats with the Mariners, is better served getting a breather in Tacoma.
