José Godoy - Heading to Triple-AGodoy will report to Triple-A St. Paul after going unclaimed on waivers Sunday, Dan Hayes of The Athletic reports.
ImpactGodoy was designated for assignment last week but will remain in the organization since he wasn't claimed on waivers. The 27-year-old made his big-league debut with Seattle last year and hit .162/.225/.189 in 40 plate appearances.

Sergio Romo - Gets first hold SaturdayRomo secured his first hold in a win over the Twins on Saturday, firing a perfect seventh inning in which he recorded a strikeout.
ImpactThe veteran reliever was razor sharp in his Mariners regular-season debut, firing 10 of 15 pitches for strikes. Assignments such as Saturday's are likely to be par for the course for Romo this season, as he has an extensive track record of solid work in the later innings in addition to being able to navigate the occasional save situation successfully.

Andrés Muñoz - Grabs first winMunoz was credited with the win in a victory over the Twins on Saturday despite allowing two earned runs on a hit and a walk over one inning. He struck out two.
ImpactMunoz yielded a leadoff walk to Nick Gordon in the eighth inning before surrendering a go-ahead two-run home run to Byron Buxton. The flamethrowing right-hander settled down after that, retiring Luis Arraez, Carlos Correa and Jorge Polanco in order, the latter two on swinging strikes. His ability to limit the damage would prove critical, as the Mariners were able to mount their own rally in the ninth that would lead to the one-run win. Munoz's ability to focus following his rocky start is likely to help build trust with manager Scott Servais with respect to additional higher-leverage assignments early in the season.

Julio Rodríguez - First big-league hit SaturdayRodriguez went 1-for-4 with a double and a run in a win over the Twins on Saturday.
ImpactThe phenom struck out in his other three at-bats, but Rodriguez got the Mariners' game-winning rally started in the ninth inning by lacing his first big-league hit to left center. The rookie would eventually come around to score the game-tying run on Adam Frazier's double. However, Rodriguez has struck out five times in eight plate appearances through two games, so despite a dominant spring, he clearly still has some catching up to do when it comes to handling big-league arms.

Adam Frazier - Timely first hit as MarinerFrazier went 1-for-5 with an RBI double and a run in a win over the Twins on Saturday.
ImpactThe offseason acquisition from the Padres picked a good time to break through with his first hit on his new club, delivering a game-tying two-bagger in the ninth inning that plated Julio Rodriguez. Frazier subsequently came around to score what would be the game-winning run on Ty France's hit. While the timely double was just his first hit in 10 at-bats with the Mariners, the fact Frazier has yet to strike out in that sample suggests he should see his luck improve if he continues to make consistent contact.

Ty France - Three more hits SaturdayFrance went 3-for-5 with a run-scoring single and an RBI double in a win over the Twins on Saturday.
ImpactFrance continued his season-opening hot streak at the plate with some clutch hitting Saturday, evening the score at 1-1 in the third with his two-bagger to deep left center. He struck again in the ninth with a tie-breaking single that plated Adam Frazier with what would prove to be the game-winning run. France heads into Sunday having gone 4-for-7 with two walks over the first two games of the series.

Jharel Cotton - Scoreless inning in Twins debutCotton threw a scoreless inning with a walk and a strikeout in his Twins debut in Sunday's loss to Seattle.
ImpactAfter missing nearly two years due injuries, Cotton had a decent season with Texas last year posting a 3.52 ERA, 1.40 WHIP and 30:15 K:BB across 30.2 innings. With the long layoff, it's possible he could improve in his second full year back, especially if he can reduce his walks. He'll work in a middle relief role for the Twins.
