David Dahl - Day off against leftyDahl will sit against southpaw Alex Wood and the Giants on Monday.
ImpactDahl has been in the lineup against just two of the last nine lefties the Rangers have faced. Despite being protected from same-sided pitching, he's struggled significantly at the plate this season, hitting .210/.241/.324 through 30 games. Khris Davis will get the start in left field in his absence.

Justus Sheffield - Surrenders five runs in lossSheffield (2-3) allowed seven runs (five earned) on 10 hits while striking out five over five innings in a loss to the Rangers on Sunday.
ImpactSheffield allowed just one run prior to the fifth, when the Rangers put up six more on him after Charlie Culberson led off the inning with a solo home run and Adolis Garcia capped it off with a three-run blast. The 25-year-old pitched a gem last weekend against the Angels but has sandwiched that outing with a pair of horrendous starts in which he's combined to allow nine runs on 22 hits while striking out nine in 10.1 innings. He gives up plenty of hard contact and doesn't generate enough swings and misses to be a reliable fantasy option, but he at least has a good chance for a bounceback performance against Cleveland later in the week.

Wes Benjamin - Possible rotation fill-inBenjamin is one option being considered to take Kohei Arihara's (finger) spot in the rotation, Sam Blum of the Dallas Morning News reports.
ImpactArihara couldn't hide the issue with his finger any longer and faces a stint on the injured list. His absence opens up a rotation spot for Benjamin or two others -- Hyeon-Jong Yang and Kolby Allard. Benjamin, who opened the season on the MLB roster but was optioned amid wavering command, started the season-opener for Triple-A Round Rock on Thursday. He picked up the win and allowed four hits and one walk while striking out eight over five scoreless innings.

Khris Davis - Makes first startDavis started at designated hitter and went 0-for-4 in Sunday's 10-2 win over Seattle.
ImpactThis was Davis' first start since being activated from the injured list. The right-handed hitting slugger slotted in against a left-hander, and he's expected to be on short-side platoon at DH with either David Dahl or Willie Calhoun DH-ing against righties.
