Impact Lester allowed all four runs on one swing of the bat on a grand slam by Trayce Thompson. He has struggled with walks; Saturday marked his fourth time issuing four free passes this season. The 37-year-old has a 4.36 ERA and 1.42 WHIP with 40 strikeouts in 66 innings for the Cardinals this season.

Harrison Bader - Slams leadoff home run Bader went 1-for-5 with a solo home run and an additional run scored in Saturday's 6-5 loss to the Cubs.

Impact Gallegos entered a 3-3 tie in the ninth inning and allowed a leadoff double to Willson Contreras but he was eventually erased on a play at the plate, and he became the winner when St. Louis walked it off in the bottom of the inning. Impact Making only his second start of the season, Hudson made his case to be part of St. Louis' postseason staff with five clean innings and only 70 pitches thrown. He departed with a 2-0 lead, but Chicago eventually came back and erased the 27-year-old from the final line. Hudson will look to come back stronger in 2022 if he isn't part of St. Louis' postseason plans.
