Manuel Rodríguez - Recalled from Durham The Rays recalled Rodriguez from Triple-A Durham on Tuesday, Ryan Bass of Bally Sports Sun reports.
Impact The Rays traded Phil Maton to the Mets on Tuesday, so Rodriguez will now be called upon to fill the vacancy in Tampa Bay's bullpen. The 27-year-old righty allowed three earned runs in 9.2 innings during a brief stint in the majors earlier this year, and he's posted an impressive 1.09 ERA and 1.03 WHIP through 24.2 innings at Durham. He'll likely be used in middle relief while with the Rays.

Jacob Waguespack - Shut down from throwing Waguespack (shoulder) has been shut down from throwing due to a lower back issue, Steve Carney of StPeteNine.com reports.
Impact Waguespack has been shelved since May 6 due to inflammation in his right shoulder but was given the green light June 24 to begin a rehab assignment. However, he's picked up a lower back injury that will require him to be shut down for an unspecified period of time.

Richard Lovelady - Rehab continuing at Triple-A Lovelady's (forearm) rehab assignment was transferred to Triple-A Durham on Tuesday, Steve Carney of StPeteNine.com reports.
Impact Lovelady made his first rehab appearance Monday with the Rays' Florida Complex League Affiliate, but yielded four runs over two-thirds of an inning before being pulled. Still, he'll be bumped up to Durham to continue his rehab from a strained left forearm.

Impact Rasmussen underwent an internal brace procedure in his throwing elbow in July of 2023 and has been throwing off a mound since the end of May. While the 28-year-old is still a few weeks out from embarking on what's expected to be a lengthy minor-league rehab stint, Rasmussen appears to be on track to pitch for the Rays this season and could even be cleared before September.

Brandon Lowe - Absent versus left-hander Lowe is not in the lineup for Tuesday's game versus the Yankees.
Impact Lowe rarely starts against left-handed pitching, and that will hold true Tuesday as he sits versus southpaw Carlos Rodon. Jose Caballero will handle second base for the Rays and Amed Rosario will be the team's designated hitter.

Junior Caminero - Begins rehab assignment Caminero (quad) will begin a rehab assignment with the Rays' Florida Complex League affiliate on Tuesday, Sam Dykstra of MiLB.com reports.
Impact Caminero has been shelved since late May with a Grade 2 left quadriceps strain but has finally been cleared to return to game action. After getting in a few FCL contests, the top prospect will eventually move back up to Triple-A Durham, where he's slashed .261/.333/.478 with eight home runs over 153 plate appearances this season. Caminero could still make an impact for the Rays after the All-Star break, but at this point he probably won't be promoted until at least August.

Impact Caballero's homer briefly gave the Rays a 2-1 lead in the third inning before the Rangers scored nine runs over the next two frames. The utility infielder isn't known for his power, but he has two homers over his last five games. For the year, he's slashing .241/.301/.369 with six homers, 24 RBI, 38 runs scored and 24 stolen bases across 274 plate appearances. Caballero will likely see most of his playing time against left-handed pitchers, mainly serving as a platoon option in the middle infield.
