Impact Garcia was part of a three-run uprising in the fourth inning that erased Atlanta's early lead. He's hitting just .220 for the month of May but has knocked in 14 runs over 14 games. The long ball was his 11th of the season, tying Garcia with several players for fifth in MLB.

Dane Dunning - Delivers again Dunning (4-0) won his second consecutive start in Tuesday's 7-4 victory over Atlanta. He allowed one run on six hits and struck out four over six innings.
Impact Most of the damage against Dunning came in the first four innings, but he managed to pitch out of trouble and retired the final seven batters faced. He's been a Swiss army knife for the Rangers, serving as multi-inning reliever and now fill-in starter and excelled at both. Earlier in the season, Dunning told Kennedi Landry of MLB.com that offseason hip surgery was the reason he's been so effective in 2023. In three starts as a replacement for the injured Jacob deGrom (elbow), Dunning has allowed three runs on 14 hits and two walks while striking out 12 over 17 innings. The right-hander will get a few more starts before deGrom is ready, at which point manager Bruce Bochy will determine what's next for Dunning.

Impact Duran's run at shortstop was expected to end Tuesday, but he received a stay when the returning Corey Seager (hamstring) developed a stomach bug and was not activated. Whenever Seager is healthy, manager Bruce Bochy will find a spot for Duran's bat. He's hitting .301 (22-for-73) with five home runs, three doubles, 14 RBI and 12 runs scored over the last 18 games.

Impact Seager was expected to be activated in the last couple of days from the IL from his hamstring strain, but the infielder's illness has kept him from being back in the lineup. Assuming he feels better in the coming days, he should be back starting for the Rangers at shortstop by the end of the week.

Jacob deGrom - Throws light bullpen DeGrom (elbow) threw a "light" bullpen Tuesday, Evan Grant of The Dallas Morning News reports.
Impact DeGrom is still a few weeks away from a return from the elbow inflammation that placed him on the 15-day injured list at the end of April. The right-hander will likely advanced to more traditional bullpens in the coming days, and then could begin a rehab assignment if he continues to make positive progress. At this point, it looks likely that deGrom is back in the Texas rotation right around the start of June.

Impact Rocker was the third selection by the Rangers in the 2022 draft, and in his six starts with High-A Hickory in 2023 he registered a 3.86 ERA with a 42:7 K:BB over 28 innings. The right-hander was also a first-round pick in 2021 by the Mets, but due to medical concerns he ended up not signing with the club. Rocker will miss the rest of the 2023 season while recovering from the surgery, and he'll all but assuredly miss a few moths to begin the 2024 campaign as well.

Impact Bradford made his MLB debut against Atlanta on Monday and the left-hander allowed six runs over five innings while picking up the loss.
